Elevation Worship, For King & Country, Brandon Lake Lead 2021 Dove Nominations

Elevation Worship, Bethel Music’s Brandon Lake and For King & Country are among the top nominees for this year’s GMA Dove Awards, which will be held on Oct. 19 in Nashville, Tenn., and broadcast on Oct. 22 on TBN.

Nominations were announced Wednesday.

Elevation Worship and Lake each received seven nominations, while For King and Country received six.

Nominated for Artist of the Year are Elevation Worship, For King & Country, Lauren Daigle, Phil Wickham and Zach Williams.

Song of the Year nominations – which are given to songwriters – included “Another in the Fire,” “Famous For,” “Graves into Gardens,” “Speak to Me,” “Thank You for It All,” “The Blessing,” “The Father’s House,” There Was Jesus,” “Together” and “Truth Be Told.”

Nominations for New Artist of the Year went to Brandon Lake, CAIN, Dante Bowe, Hope Darst and Maverick City Music.

Other nominations included:

– Worship Album of the Year: “Graves into Gardens” by Elevation Worship, “Old Church Basement” by Elevation Worship/Maverick City Music, “Revival’s in the Air” by Bethel Music, “The Blessing” by Kari Jobe” and “The People Tour: Live from Madison Square Garden” by Hillsong UNITED.

– Rap/Hip Hop Album of the year: “3:34” by Zauntee, “Feared by Hell” by Social Club Misfits, “His Glory Alone” by KB, “Restoration” by Lecrae and “The Divine Storm” by Ty Brasel.

– Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year: “Chris Tomlin & Friends” by Chris Tomlin, “Holy Water” by We the Kingdom, “Inhale (exhale)” by MercyMe, “No Stranger” by Natalie Grant and “To Love a Fool” by Cory Asbury. 

– Gospel Artist of the Year: CeCe Winans, Jonathan McReynolds, Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Travis Greene.

– Southern Gospel Artist of the Year: Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Gaither Vocal Band, Jason Crabb, Joseph Habedank and Triumphant Quartet.
