Jesus' Coming Back

Boxer Tyson Fury Gives Glory to God after Winning World Heavyweight Boxing Championship

British boxer Tyson Fury gave God the glory in his recent victory over Deontay Wilder in the World Boxing Council heavyweight boxing title.

“I would like to say thank you to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus on this fight tonight again,” Fury said in the post-match interview.

According to The Christian Post, He also was seen wearing a hat that said “Jesus: El Rey Viene,” which translated means “Jesus, the King is coming.”

In Saturday’s fight, Fury knocked down Wilder in the third round, but in the fourth round, Wilder struck back and knocked Fury down twice.

“I was hurt. Wilder’s a strong puncher, and he’s a tough man,” he said. “I was hitting him with some big shots. My Lord and Savior raised me to my feet tonight to give Him the glory.”

Fury said after the fight he approached Wilder to say “well done,” but Wilder acted like a “sore loser.”

“Deontay Wilder’s a top fighter. He gave me a real run for my money. I always said I’m the best in the world and he’s second-best,” Fury said. “He’s got no love for me because you know why. Because I’ve beat him three times. And he is like, ‘I’m a sportsman.’ I went over to him to show some love and respect, and he didn’t want to give it back. So that’s his problem. I’ll pray for him so God will soften his heart.”

Fury is now the undefeated champion. He previously beat Wilder last year at the WBC heavyweight championship. Fury’s career record is 31-0-1.

“Am I the greatest heavyweight of my era? Without a doubt, No. 1, numero uno. Look what I’ve done!” Fury said in an interview before the fight. “I’ve fought the most devastating puncher in [the] history of our sport. Not once, not twice but three times. Danger, danger man.”
