Two Palestinians throw Molotov cocktails at passing cars, IDF fires back
IDF fired towards two Palestinian suspects who threw Molotov cocktails towards Israeli drivers on Highway 60 in Gush Etzion south of Jerusalem on Thursday night. One of them, 16-years-old, passed from his injuries, while the other was arrested.
KAN noted that a Hamas flag was found at the stand where the cocktails were being prepared.
Elsewhere, in Kalandiya, Border Policeman Oscar Vasilkin was seriously injured in a car-ramming attack. He was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, KAN reported.
The terrorist was lightly injured when his car crashed into a wall and was arrested. KAN noted that his investigation revealed that he scouted out the location for the attack three days prior.
Late Wednesday night, an IDF officer and soldier were both lightly injured when they were pepper-sprayed by settler youth. Before attacking the security forces, the youth pepper-sprayed a Palestinian.
Following the incident, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi condemned the attack: “Crime against IDF soldiers on the part of civilians is intolerable and requires a quick and strict execution of the law.”
On Tuesday night, a young Palestinian was shot in the leg by security forces in the town of Tammun in the northern West Bank.
