Trump to Participate in Christmas Service at First Baptist Dallas this Sunday
Former President Donald Trump will participate in First Baptist Dallas’ Christmas worship service this Sunday.
The megachurch’s pastor, Pastor Robert Jeffress, expressed excitement about the former president’s visit. Jeffress was a staunch evangelical supporter of Trump during his presidency,
“We are blessed to have my friend and our 45th president to worship with us this Sunday morning at First Baptist Dallas,” Jeffress said in a statement, according to CBS DFW. “America has never had a more pro-life and pro-religious liberty president than Donald J. Trump. We owe President Trump a debt of gratitude for all he has done for our great nation.”
According to the church’s website, Jeffress will preach a special Christmas message titled, “What If There Were No Christmas?” Trump will also participate in the service by delivering a special Christmas greeting at the end of the service.
“The focus of the music and message this Sunday will be on the most important event in human history — the birth of Jesus Christ. President Trump is known for his love for Christmas and what it represents. We are thrilled to have him join us for this Christmas worship experience this Sunday morning,” Jeffress said.
According to The Christian Post, Trump’s visit to First Dallas Baptist comes as he continues his “The History Tour” with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly. Together, Trump and O’Reilly are looking back at Trump’s presidency through a series of live conversations across the nation.
“These will be wonderful, but hard-hitting sessions where we’ll talk about the real problems happening in the U.S., those that the Fake News Media never mention,” Trump said in a statement. “I will be focusing on greatness for our country, something seldom discussed in political dialogue. If we don’t make our country great again, we will soon no longer have a country!”
“I look forward to working with Bill, who right now has the #1 bestselling book, to openly discuss the real problems of our country, and how to solve them. Additionally, it will be fun, fun, fun, for everyone who attends!” he added.
The tour, which began last weekend in Sunrise and Orlando, Florida, will conclude in Houston and Dallas this weekend.
