‘Thank You for Praying with Us’: Anne Graham Lotz’s Daughter Released from Hospital after Suffering Two Heart Attacks
Rachel-Ruth Lotz Wright, the daughter of evangelist Anne Graham Lotz, has been released from the hospital after suffering two heart attacks last weekend.
On Friday, Lotz shared a photo of her daughter in the hospital on Facebook and captioned it, “This picture was taken today at sunrise—the day Rachel-Ruth is scheduled to go home!”
“God has heard and answered our prayers! Join us in praising Him! He has surely been an ever-present help in times of trouble.” she continued.
While an ER doctor initially diagnosed Rachel-Ruth with a rare condition known as “broken heart syndrome,” Lotz clarified that a cardiologist said her daughter’s heart attacks were caused by a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD).
“Like the sunrise, the Light of God’s presence, compassion, wisdom and peace have been present in this darkness,” she asserted. “Our ongoing prayer now is for Rachel-Ruth to recover her strength, health, and never again have any heart-related issues.”
“Thank you for praying with us. “I will sing of Your strength, in the morning I will sing of Your love; for You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 59:16,” Lotz concluded.
Rachel-Ruth, an author and speaker, is the granddaughter of the late evangelist Billy Graham. Last October, she released her first book, Jesus Followers, in collaboration with her mother. She also leads an online women’s Bible study, where she has been covering the book of Genesis.
Steven Wright, Rachel-Ruth’s husband, also posted the news of his wife’s release on social media.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to God!!! My beautiful wife was released from the hospital on Friday & is expected to make a full recovery! We are so thankful God spared her life, and so grateful to the many doctors & nurses who provided outstanding care to help her recover!” he tweeted.
