Stephen Baldwin Thanks Those Who Prayed for Daughter Hailey Bieber after She Suffered from Blood Clot
Christian actor Stephen Baldwin, the father of supermodel Hailey Bieber, is thanking those who prayed for his daughter after she suffered from a blood clot in her brain that caused her to experience stroke-like symptoms.
“Thank you so much for all the prayers for the wonderful Hailey,” Baldwin said in an Instagram post on Monday. The actor shared that he’s been on his “knees before my God
as much as possible … every day” after not posting for a while on the social media platform.
Baldwin also asked his followers to pray for his son-in-law, pop star Justin Bieber, who is currently on tour.
“Let’s keep praying for JB on tour so [that] love, peace & joy may touch this world,” he wrote. “God bless to you all!!!”
Hailey, who has been married to Justin since 2018, suffered a blood clot in her brain over the weekend. She was released from the hospital on Monday.
According to The Christian Post, she shared on social media that she was hospitalized in Palm Springs, California, due to a “very small blood clot” that was preventing her brain from getting the necessary oxygen.
“[But] my body had passed it on its own, and I recovered completely within a few hours,” the supermodel explained.
“Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I’ve ever been through, I’m home now and doing well. I’m so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!” she added.
Hailey also thanked those who “reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love.”
While in the hospital, doctors worked to determine if the clot was COVID-19 related since Justin had recently contracted the virus. Justin has since recovered.
A source close to the Biebers told People Magazine that Justin asked for prayers for his wife and has “never left her side” following the health scare.
“He was saying that he can’t lose her, that whatever it takes, he wanted the best medical treatment available,” the source said.
The Biebers, both professing Christians, are currently members of Churchome led by Pastor Judah Smith.
