Radical Pro-Abortion Activists Firebomb Pregnancy Center in New York

A radical pro-abortion group firebombed a pregnancy center and pro-life medical office in Buffalo, New York, early Tuesday morning and threatened violence if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.

As reported by CBN News, the group, named Jane’s Revenge, firebombed an office run by the Christ-centered pro-life organization, CompassCare. Photos posted to Compass Care’s Facebook page show that the building sustained heavy damage, and the group spray-painted its signature “Jane Was Here” on the side of the building.

“Ironically, New York’s Governor not only ignored the violence but instead earmarked $35 million in taxpayer funds to increase security at abortion clinics,” CompassCare said in a statement. “Adding insult to injury, the New York legislature passed a bill investigating pro-life pregnancy centers precisely because they do not perform abortions.”

CompassCare’s CEO, Jim Harden, denounced the incident, calling it “the pro-abortion ‘Kristallnacht.”

“This is the pro-abortion ‘Kristallnacht.’ Because of this act of violence, the needs of women facing unplanned pregnancy will go unmet, and babies will die,” Harden said in a statement.

“I wonder if Gov. Hochul will veto the Pregnancy Center Investigation Bill? I wonder if Attorney General Letitia James will investigate these cowardly criminals? CompassCare will rebuild because women deserve better,” he contended. “CompassCare will not stop serving because pre-born boys and girls deserve protection.”

Following the draft opinion leak, pro-life centers have become targets of violence by pro-abortion activists. If the Supreme Court overrules Roe v. Wade, abortion regulations would be left to the states.

As CBN News previously reported, Jane’s Revenge admitted to throwing red paint on the front door of a Washington D.C. crisis pregnancy center last week. The building was also spray-painted with the words “Jane Says Revenge.”

Last month, the radical abortion group firebombed and vandalized the headquarters of Wisconsin Family Action (WFA), a pro-life organization in Madison, Wisconsin, and damaged several churches in the Olympia, Washington area.

On May 30, Jane’s Revenge published a statement titled “Night of Rage.” In the statement, the group threatened to engage in further acts of violence if Roe is overturned.

The message also encouraged followers to “take action now” rather than “wait until the verdict arrives” and urged people to carry “anger out into the world” by “expressing it physically.”

“To those who work to oppress us: If abortion isn’t safe, you aren’t either. We are everywhere,” the group concluded.
