Justin Bieber Cancels Remaining U.S. Tour Dates, Summerfest Appearance due to Facial Paralysis
Pop singer Justin Bieber has canceled his remaining tour dates in the United States, including an appearance at this year’s Summerfest, due to a medical condition that left half his face paralyzed.
“In light of Justin’s ongoing recovery, the remaining U.S. Justice Tour shows scheduled for June and early July, including at Summerfest at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Friday, June 24, 2022, will be postponed,” Bieber’s tour promoter, AEG Presents, said in a statement posted to Twitter on Thursday.
“Justin continues to receive the best medical care possible, is upbeat about his recovery, and is looking forward to getting back out on the road and performing for his fans overseas later this summer,” the statement continued.

As Christian Headlines previously reported, the 28-year-old singer announced last Friday that he had been diagnosed with Ramsey Hunts Syndrome, which left the right side of his face paralyzed.
According to Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome is caused “when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears” and can lead to facial paralysis and “hearing loss in the affected ear.”
“As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move. So, there’s full paralysis on this side of my face,” he said in an Instagram video.
“So for those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously, not capable of doing them,” he continued. “This is pretty serious, as you can see.”
Bieber, a professing Christian, concluded the video by citing his faith in God.
“It’s gonna be okay, and I have hope. I trust God, and I trust that it’s all for a reason. I’m not sure what that is right now, but, in the meantime, I’m gonna rest,” he said.
According to Bieber’s website, he is still scheduled to go overseas in late July for his Justice World Tour, which will run through March 2023.
