Jesus' Coming Back

‘Go Out There and Love’: Hundreds Gather in Dallas for Together ’22 Evangelicalistic Event

Evangelist Nick Hall encouraged the hundreds gathered in Dallas for the Together ’22 event to “see” those people around them and “go out there and listen” and “go out there and love.”

Hundreds attended the Dallas event, which marked 50 years since the late evangelist Billy Graham hosted Explo ’72 in the same venue, the Cotton Bowl in downtown Dallas. Previously, Graham’s event drew some 150,000 people to the Cotton Bowl.

“The most important thing to tell people about Jesus is to make a priority to listen, to slow down and see people around you,” Hall said. “The greatest thing we can do as evangelists is go out there and listen, go out there and love.”

The multi-day event also featured musical performances from Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, Lecrae and other Christian music artists.

Guest speakers included prerecorded messages from David Platt and Francis Chan and a live appearance from apologist Josh McDowell.

“I don’t think I ever had doubts about the deity of Christ, the resurrection and the scriptures,” he said. “Now doubt is not saying I don’t understand it, and a lot of times, I don’t get it. But deep down in, I know it was true, but I couldn’t understand why it was true.

“But eventually I did.”

Attendees said they enjoyed the event, even though it took place in the hot Texas summer.

“God opened my eyes to a whole different perspective of life these past two days through praying with strangers, listening to such powerful sermons, listening to worship music, and many more things,” student Chloey Carroll said.

Previously, Hall’s Together ’16 event drew nearly half a million people to Washington, D.C.

“The word empower is something that kept coming up in my heart,” singer Lauren Daigle told The Christian Post about the event. “If we show people that fear isn’t actually the place that we have to surrender to, fear isn’t actually the thing that we have to answer to, but instead it’s going in and loving people.”
