Hezbollah Leader Warns Missiles Can Reach All of Israel

The leader of the Lebanon-based Hezbollah terrorist group said this week that Hezbollah’s missiles can reach all of Israel, including land and sea areas.

The threat comes as Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the terrorist group, voiced his opposition to Israel extracting natural gas from the Karish gas field in the eastern Mediterranean. Israel says the gas field is within internationally recognized waters. Lebanon says the seas there are disputed.

According to CBN News, in an interview with Al Mayadeen TV on Monday, Nasrallah alluded to a possible attack on one of Israel’s offshore oil rigs.

“All of Israel’s gas fields are under threat from our missiles – not just Karish,” Nasrallah said. “The ships that extract the gas are Israeli, even if under a Greek banner.

“There is no target in the sea or in the air that is not within the range of Hezbollah’s precise missiles. No one wants war, and the decision is in Israel’s hands, not in our hands.”

He warned that if Israel tries to extract gas from Karish in September before Lebanon gets its rights, the country “will have a problem.”

In June, Hezbollah flew four drones toward the Karish oil field, but the drones were intercepted by Israeli defenses.

“I stand before you at this moment and say to everyone seeking out demise, from Gaza to Tehran, from the shores of Lebanon to Syria: Don’t test us,” Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid said after he took office. “Israel knows how to use its strength against every threat, against every enemy.”

Last week, the Israeli Prime Minister flew over the oil field in what was intended to be a show of Israeli ownership of the territory.

Israel has estimated that Hezbollah has some 150,000 rockets aimed at the country.

In 2006, Israel and Hezbollah fought a monthlong war against each other, but the two have consistently battled each other since Israel was created in 1948.
