‘This Is Evil’: Vandals Steal, Burn Welcome Signs at Pastor Greg Locke’s Church

Before the church’s worship service over the weekend, vandals defaced Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Joliet, Tennessee.

“Had our church welcome flags stolen last night and then burned on a Snapchat video. The public hatred for our church continues to rise. This is evil, but make no mistake, we’re NOT BACKING DOWN OR GOING AWAY,” Pastor Greg Locke wrote on Facebook early Sunday morning.

In the post, he shared screenshots of the vandals taking down the church welcome flags and later setting them ablaze.

According to ChurchLeaders.com, Locke addressed the matter further during his sermon on Sunday.

“We’re going to keep serving God,” the pastor told the congregation.

“I’m telling you: it’s a plan. They’re coming against us. And everybody that’s hated us, maligned us, stole our signs, burned them on Snapchat, everybody that’s wanted to burn this tent down, everybody that has laughed, they won’t be laughing when this economic situation comes to a crash,” he declared.

Global Vision Bible Church has been vandalized several times in recent years. As Christian Headlines previously reported, an unidentified individual wrote spray-painted messages on the church wall and the pulpit last August.

In 2020, the Mt. Joliet-based church was defaced after inviting convicted felon Roger Stone, who served as Donald Trump’s campaign advisor during the 2016 presidential election, to share his testimony.

The 2020 damages included defaced signs, walls, and the display of vulgar messages on the pulpit telling Locke and Stone they were going to hell. The total cost of the damages amounted to around $5,000.

Locke is known for being outspoken and controversial in his messages. In recent years he has come under fire for opposing COVID-19 mask mandates and claiming that developmental disorders such as autism and mental health disorders such as obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) are signs of demonic oppression.

In February, Locke held a burning service where congregants threw occultic materials and Harry Potter books into a large bonfire.
