Chicago Panics Over 125 Illegals Bused in From Texas; Chicago Mayor Accuses Texas of ‘Manufacturing’ Crisis After Busing Migrants; Abbott Slams Lori Lightfoot for ‘Attacking Texas’ Over Border Crisis
Chicago Panics Over 125 Illegals Bused in From Texas:
6 people were shot and killed, and 41 wounded so far in Chicago’s Labor Day shootings. But don’t bother Mayor Lightfoot with that nonsense. When she’s not tearing down statues of American historic figures, like her counterparts in Washington D.C. and NYC, she’s freaking out over 125 illegal aliens being bused in from Texas.
Yes, you read that right. It’s like 2 minutes worth of illegals at the border.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is calling on Chicagoans to help get migrants arriving from Texas on their feet after another busload of migrants arrived Sunday from Texas.
The immigrants arrived in Chicago about 4 p.m. Sunday at Union Station, Lightfoot said at a hastily scheduled news conference. Their arrival brings the total number of immigrants bused to Chicago by Abbott since Wednesday to 125 people.
That’s less than three times as many people as were shot in Chiraq over the weekend. And Gollum takes that in stride. —>READ MORE HERE
Chicago Mayor Accuses Texas of ‘Manufacturing’ Crisis After Busing Migrants:
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot claims Texas Governor Greg Abbott is “manufacturing a human crisis” by sending 50 more migrants to the Windy City on air-conditioned buses. On the day the 50 migrants arrived in Chicago, approximately 3,774 arrived by illegally crossing the border from Mexico into Texas.
“He is manufacturing a human crisis, and it makes no sense to me,” Mayor Lightfoot said in a statement broadcast by ABC7 in Chicago. “It’s decidedly unpatriotic and un-American. I understand the pressures that the people of Texas and some of the other border states are under. We see that on a daily basis. But the thing to do is not this.”
The Chicago mayor did not outline alternative ideas in the statement.
“He professes to be a Christian,” Lightfoot said of Gov. Abbott. “This is not the Christianity and the teachings of the Bible that I know.”
Governor Abbott’s spokesperson Renae Eze responded to this, saying, “Attacking the Governor’s commitment to his faith is a pathetic political ploy to change the conversation away from Mayor Lightfoot’s unwillingness to uphold her city’s self-declared sanctuary status.”
The mayor seemed to ignore the real human crisis taking place along the Texas border with Mexico where nearly 4,000 migrants are illegally entering on a daily basis.
She did not mention the city of Eagle Pass where the community is dealing with the drowning deaths of 13 migrants from a single border crossing last week.
She also did not mention the humanitarian crisis occurring in her own city where at least 46 people were shot during the Labor Day weekend, Breitbart News reported. —>READ MORE HERE
Greg Abbott Slams Lori Lightfoot for ‘Attacking Texas’ Over Border Crisis:
Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has fired back at Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot after she called his actions regarding the busing of migrants to the Midwestern city “racist” last week.
Lightfoot made the comments during a Thursday news conference in reaction to Texas sending two buses with approximately 95 migrants who arrived in Chicago on Wednesday. Abbott’s office said the decision was made in response to President Joe Biden “putting the lives of Texans—and Americans—at risk” and “overwhelming our communities.”
Southern border crossings are exponentially higher now, compared with the past few years, according to statistics from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Border crossings in every month so far of the 2022 fiscal year besides July have exceeded the corresponding month’s total in 2021.
“Mayor Lightfoot is attacking Texas instead of addressing the real cause of the border crisis: Joe Biden,” Abbott tweeted on Monday. “His inaction at our border is putting the lives of Texans at risk & is overwhelming our communities. Texas is doing Biden’s job to secure the border.” —>READ MORE HERE
