San Diego Mom Calls Out School District for Promoting ‘Family-Friendly’ Halloween Drag Show

A mother in San Diego went viral last week after she confronted a local school board about its upcoming Halloween drag show, which was dubbed “family-friendly.”

“What is it about a grown man costumed in a sparkly bra with augmented boobs busting out and wearing a miniskirt barely covering his twerking a** with duct tape on his front while spreading his fish-netted legs as he writes on the ground, grinding his groin next to a minor, family-friendly?” Brittany Mayer is seen asking the Encinitas Union School District Board in the video.

Mayer, a part of the Christian-based parental rights group Rooted Wings, accused the board of acting as “groomers and activist pimps” for promoting the “Boo Bash” drag queen event scheduled to take place Saturday, October 29.

“You all played the activist pimp for Align Surgical center and for a 21-plus gay bar,” she argued. “It makes you groomers and activist pimps, and we won’t have those sitting on a school board that oversees the education of our children.”

Mayer noted on her personal Twitter account that the local San Francisco gender reassignment surgery center, in collaboration with a popular gay nightclub, is sponsoring the upcoming drag queen show.

“While we have a culture that has a huge problem with child porn and with sex trafficking, Encinitas Union School District in CA, made the decision to feature an event to sexualize young children,” she wrote.

Meyer told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson last Thursday that parents across the nation should push back against these types of events in schools before they are normalized.

“I want to make it really clear that this is not an isolated incident. This is coming to every school across the nation,” she said. “And if you think it’s just going to stay in California, you’re dead wrong. This is coming everywhere. It’s why we stood up and said we’re going to nip it in the bud, we’re not going to play by the rules, that we’re supposed to be afraid, that we’re going to be punished if we don’t speak up now.”

“I hope this breeds courage for parents all over the nation who see this trend starting to change where our kids are not being educated in the fundamentals. They’re being hyper-sexualized, and we’re done with this,” she continued.

According to The Christian Post, while the district says it’s not hosting or sponsoring the drag queen event, a flyer for “Boo Bash” was posted on the information hub Peachjar to inform parents about opportunities for families in the district.
