Except there won’t be.
SWA is not hub and spoke, if your flight from STL to EWR is delayed because it was supposed to fly from El Paso to Albuquerque, Albuquerque to Midway, and Midway to STL, you’re screwed. This is what you signed up for by not doing deep dives on your plane routing (not infallible, but there is not f*@ing way I’m flying a plane due from (or connecting via) EWR, LGA, or ORD (or similar) during the winter, even if I’m flying from Texas to Europe.
