The Chosen and Running the Bases among Top Movieguide Awards Nominees
The hit television series The Chosen, Candace Cameron Bure’s new movie A Christmas … Present and the film Running the Bases are among the top nominees for this year’s Movieguide Awards, which honor the best of family-friendly films and television programs and spiritually uplifting entertainment.
The faith-based film Running the Bases received four nominations: Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie, Faith and Freedom Award for Movies, Most Inspirational Independent Film and Grace Prize for Most Inspiring Performance for Movies (Brett Varvel).
The Chosen received three nominations: Best Family Movie (The Chosen Season 3: Episodes 1 & 2), Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie (The Chosen Season 3: Episodes 1 & 2) and Grace Prize for Most Inspiring Performance for TV (Jonathan Roumie, “Episode 3.3: Physician, Heal Yourself”).
Great American Family’s A Christian … Present also received three nominations: Best Television for Families, Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring TV or Streaming Movie or Program, and Grace Prize for Most Inspiring Performance for TV (Candace Cameron Bure).
Other top nominees included Resistance: 1942 (four nominations), Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (three nominations) and the Mark Wahlberg movie Father Stu: Reborn (three nominations).
The 30th annual Movieguide Awards will air on Feb. 26 on UPtv. Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Kate Flannery, Kathy Ireland and Bruce Davison are among the presenters.
