Candace Cameron Bure, Trevor Lawrence Attend Tim Tebow Celebrity Gala & Golf Classic

Former NFL star Tim Tebow hosted his 12th annual Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Gala & Golf Classic last weekend. The event drew a number of celebrities, including Candace Cameron Bure, Trevor Lawrence, Jessie James Decker and Shawn Johnson East.

“God is good,” Tebow captioned a carousel of images from the event on his Instagram page. “There’s so much to be grateful for after [the] 12th annual @timtebowfoundation Celebrity Gala & Golf Classic. All the celebrities who came and loved on our kids and our family – Thank you, the way you selflessly serve alongside us is so encouraging! I’m so grateful for every one of you!”

According to ChurchLeaders.com, the special event began with the gala on Friday evening. The golf classic was on Saturday.

“We had a beautiful weekend in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, supporting @timtebowfoundation,” Bure captioned a carousel of images with her husband, Val, on Instagram. “The work Tim and Demi are doing to lift up the most vulnerable is so important and beautiful. Thank you @timtebow @demitebow for including us to help make a difference.”

In 2010, Tebow launched his Tim Tebow Foundation “to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.”

The foundation combats human trafficking and helps orphans and children in need of medical care. The organization also hosts an annual prom night event called Night to Shine for children with special needs.

Tebow’s wife, Demi-Leigh, who was 2017’s Miss Universe, played in the Golf Classic for the first time and ended up making a shot at the 17th hole.

“This weekend will contribute to impacting many lives all around the world,” Demi-Leigh wrote on Instagram. “So grateful to everyone who attended and who showed up to show their support to fight for the most vulnerable people around the world.”

“The @timtebowfoundation team worked so hard to put on this weekend and showed our TTF friends and family so much love and kindness. It’s always so fun to see so many of the TTF ministry partners, W15H Families and Night To Shine Kings and Queens cheering everyone on,” she wrote in a separate post.

“This weekend is a celebration of all God has done,” Tim Tebow said, “but more than that, I believe and hope it’s a rallying cry for all the hurting, desperate, and vulnerable boys and girls around the world who need us to continue putting it all on the line. They are worth all of it! For those who yell out, rescue me, help me…it’s my prayer this weekend is our continued answer that we are coming as fast as we can. Until all are free. Until are all [sic] loved. Until all walk in the light.”
