Democrats Who Called For Innocent Republicans To Be Fired Post-J6 Complain Their Party Faces Consequences For Inciting Tennessee Insurrection

Democrats have a long history of attempting to implicate and expel law and decorum-abiding Republicans from Congress, but now they are angry that the Tennesee Democrats who riled up the transgender and gun control activists at the state capitol, mere days after a transgender shooter killed six people at a Nashville Christian school, are facing accountability for their role in the insurrection.

The GOP-controlled Tennessee House voted on Thursday to expel two of the three Democrats just one week after they were captured on camera encouraging a rowdy crowd in the House chamber to scream, jeer, and taunt legislators with chants of “no action, no peace.”

Reps. Justin Jones, Justin Pearson, and Gloria Johnson were removed from their respective committees earlier this week for failing to uphold the General Assembly’s decorum requirements during the chaotic gathering on March 30. On Thursday, Jones, who was temporarily banned from the state capitol in 2019, and Pearson were both voted out of the General Assembly.

As soon as the removal results were clear, a chorus of state Democrats, national Democrats, and the corporate media condemned the move towards accountability as “racist” and an erosion of “democratic norms.” Democrats’ allies in the corporate media also chimed in with coverage suggesting that expelling the inciters is the “latest GOP move to stifle dissent.”

“Three kids and three officials gunned down in yet another mass shooting. And what are GOP officials focused on? Punishing lawmakers who joined thousands of peaceful protesters calling for action. It’s shocking, undemocratic, and without precedent,” President Joe Biden wrote on his official Twitter page.

His complaints were echoed by former President Barack Obama, who tweeted shortly after the vote that “What happened in Tennessee is the latest example of a broader erosion of civility and democratic norms.”

True erosion of democratic norms, of course, includes actions like illegally spying on your political opposition, fraudulent warrants, targeting your political enemies with the IRS, running guns to cartels and then punishing whistleblowers, running illegal and unauthorized wars and coups in the Middle East, all of which Obama did.

The truth is Democrats are finally getting a taste of their own medicine, and they don’t like it. For once in recent years, the left is paying for its penchant for violence.

Democrats don’t want you to remember, but after Jan. 6, blue politicians and their leftist allies in the corporate media called for the expulsion of several Republican legislators. Unlike the Tennesee Democrats who were expelled, Republican legislators had no role in the violence or chaos of the day.

Despite the fact that GOP members like Sen. Josh Hawley, Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rep. Paul Gosar, Rep. Lauren Boebert, Rep. Mo Brooks, Rep. Madison Cawthorn, Rep. Andy Biggs, and Rep. Louie Gohmert did not participate in the chaos, a long list of House and Senate Democrats expressed an interest in not just censuring but expelling them from Congress.

AOC justified calls for ejection by accusing Republicans like Hawley and Cruz of ordering her assassination.

Others, such as Obama’s 2012 campaign manager, former Secretary of Labor, and state and national wings of the Democratic Party, demanded the immediate removal of “guilty” Republicans from both chambers.

Similarly, the corporate media argued Republicans, who bunkered down during the riot just like their Democrat colleagues did, should no longer be allowed in the Capitol.

“Expel Josh Hawley,” One Nation headline read. “The Missouri senator is just as guilty as Trump,” the subhead clarified.

“How Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley have set themselves up to be expelled from the Senate: Historian,” Salon tweeted.

Even local news outlets like the Kansas City Star jumped on the expulsion bandwagon.

Even after Jan. 6, Democrats publicly declared their intent to remove their political enemies from Congress.

In January of 2021, Democrat Rep. Jimmy Gomez of California introduced a resolution designed to expel Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress for making crazy comments and supporting “social media posts calling for political violence against the Speaker of the House, members of Congress, and former President Barack Obama.”

“Such advocacy for extremism and sedition not only demands her immediate expulsion from Congress, but it also merits strong and clear condemnation from all of her Republican colleagues, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell,” Gomez insisted.

Instead of removing her from the legislative body, the Democrat-controlled House opted to strip Greene of her committee assignments. That was not a satisfactory solution for many on the left.

Mere months later, in May of 2021, Democrat Rep. Brad Schneider of Illinois told reporters that he wanted Greene expelled from the House after a 2019 video showing her confronting staff at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s office surfaced.

The same calls were made against Rep. George Santos after he was elected despite his falsified resume.

Democrats have begged for the removal of innocent Republicans from Congress for years, which is why their complaints that members of their own party are being politically targeted fall on deaf ears. In the case of the Tennessee legislature, Democrat representatives with violent pasts are being held accountable for actually inciting insurrection. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with making sure no one is, as the left so eagerly likes to pretend, “above the law” or rules of the game.
