Woman Tears Bible Apart during ‘SatanCon 2023’

The Satanic Temple held their annual “SatanCon 2023” event last weekend. During the event, a female leader ripped up a Bible as attendees cheered, “Hail Satan.”

The event, billed as the “largest Satanic gathering in history,” was held on April 28-30 in Boston, Massachusetts.

In a clip that went viral, two leaders began the event by ripping pages out of a Bible and tearing up a flag with a thin blue line used to commemorate police officers.

“We stand here today in defiance of their siege and destroy their symbols of oppression,” the female leader said to a cheering crowd. Some attendees can even be heard chanting “Hail Satan” as she tore the Bible apart.

In an interview following the event, the woman explained that she tore the Bible apart because she was “trying to destroy the symbols of the things that cause harm, that oppress” and denouncing attempts at “theocratic rule.”

As reported by Faithwire, she also discussed the “Supreme Court using [its] powers to decimate … rights.”

“SatanCon 2023” also celebrated the 10th anniversary of The Satanic Temple, an atheistic organization that doesn’t believe in the existence of Satan despite using his name.

Worship leader and activist Sean Feucht claimed that 98 people in attendance at the event gave their lives to Jesus.

“While they were ripping up pages of the Bible to kick off the largest Satanic gathering ever (SatanCon in Boston), over 98 attendees surrendered their lives to Jesus (verified!) from covert evangelists infiltrating the crowd,” Feucht tweeted.

However, Dr. Eric Sprankle, an associate professor at Minnesota State University, pushed back on the worship leader’s claim, writing, “I presented at this conference, and there were no ‘covert evangelists infiltrating the crowd.’ It’s easy to lie about converting 98 Satanists when your whole career is based in delusion and deception.”

In response, Feucht noted that the evangelists were “covert” by definition and that he knew them.

“They robbed hell and populated heaven!!! GOD WINS,” he asserted.
