The Anti-Christian Los Angeles Dodgers Deserve The Bud Light Treatment
In a predictable act of cowardice, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Monday they are reinviting a radical, anti-Catholic LGBT group to the organization’s “Pride Night” next month.
Originally, the Dodgers invited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence — a radical LBGT organization whose drag members mock Catholicism by dressing up as so-called “queer and trans nuns” — to its June 16 “Pride Night” game. The MLB team was slated to present the group with a “Community Hero Award.”
After receiving much-deserved backlash from fans, Catholic groups, and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., the Dodgers announced last week the Sisters would no longer be honored at this year’s “pride” celebration “[g]iven the strong feelings of people who have been offended by the sisters’ inclusion.” As it turns out, the Dodgers were just throwing faithful Christians a curveball.
Capitulating to a bunch of mean tweets from Twitter bots and unhinged leftists, the team reversed course on Monday, reinviting the organization to take part in the June 16 event.
“After much thoughtful feedback from our diverse communities, honest conversations within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and generous discussions with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Los Angeles Dodgers would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends and families,” the Dodgers said in a statement decorated with rainbow colors. “We have asked the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to take their place on the field at our 10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night on June 16th. We are pleased to share that they have agreed to receive the gratitude of our collective communities for the lifesaving work that they have done tirelessly for decades.”
Like the good, feeble cowards they are, the Dodgers made sure to publicly pledge their fidelity to their rainbow idol, promising to “work with [their] LGBTQ+ partners to better educate” themselves on such issues in the weeks ahead.
It’s Worse Than You Think
As improbable as it may seem, the Dodgers’ capitulation to the LGBT mob is worse than it appears. It’s not as if the organization didn’t know about the Sisters’ background before inviting them to “Pride Night” the first time around. After all, the group’s motto, “Go forth and sin some more!” — which is a mockery of Jesus’ command to “go, and sin no more” (John 8:11) — is plastered on the homepage of its website.
Only after they were caught hosting such a repulsive group did the Dodgers decide to disinvite them from attending. Yet, even after being publicly informed of the Sisters’ mockery and disdain of Catholicism (and Christianity writ large), the Dodgers still went ahead with the decision to reinvite the drag group to the June game. Instead of apologizing to Christians, whose religion is steeped in truth and virtue, the Dodgers ended up kowtowing to the LGBT mob — whose pagan beliefs are contrived from lies, deception, and, yes, intolerance.
The Dodgers’ embrace of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is just one of the many instances of corporations displaying their outward disdain for Christians in recent years. Just last week, Target got exposed for collaborating with an out-of-the-closet Satanist to develop “transgender-themed merchandise” for the retailer’s “pride” collection.
Christian-Hating Entities Don’t Deserve Your Time Or Money
Despite their claims to the contrary, what corporate entities like the L.A. Dodgers and Target are doing isn’t inclusive; it’s exclusive. In bold, rainbow colors, they’re exhibiting their committed loyalty to the nation’s LGBT mob. And if doing so means disrespecting the beliefs and values of millions of Christians in the process, then so be it.
Fortunately, the ongoing Bud Light boycott demonstrated that religious Americans don’t have to take this mockery lying down. Since partnering with transgender-identifying TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney, the beer company’s profits have plummeted. Things are so bad that Anheuser-Busch (Bud Light’s parent company) recently told its wholesalers “it would buy back unsold cases of beer that have gone past their expiration date.” It’s arguably been the most successful conservative-led boycott to date.
There’s no reason these tactics shouldn’t be employed against institutions like the Dodgers. The primary reason these corporations continue to embrace the “rainbow everything” crowd is a persistent belief among their management that Christians will simply roll over and continue to purchase their products and services.
Want to prove them wrong? Stop giving them money. Stop watching games. Financially bleed them to the point where events like “Pride Night” become nothing more than a distant memory.
Failure to hold these companies accountable for public displays of hatred toward Christianity and the American experiment will only allow the left’s cultural jihad to continue. Christians didn’t choose the culture war, but it’s past time they get involved in it.
