Parent files Suit after Teen Daughter ‘severely beaten’ by Trans Student in Oklahoma; Mother Files Lawsuit Against School District After Her Teenage Daughter, 15, was ‘severely beaten’ by a Transgender Student, 17, in the Girls’ Bathroom

Parent files suit after teen daughter ‘severely beaten’ by trans student in Oklahoma:

An Oklahoma teen girl was “severely beaten” by a trans student in a school bathroom, prompting the injured pupil’s parent to file a lawsuit against the district for not enforcing a state law that restricts restroom use for transgender people.

The lawsuit filed last Thursday by Theresa Gooden alleges that her 15-year-old daughter — identified as “E.G.” — was “attacked and severely beaten” in the girls’ restroom at Edmond Memorial High School by a 17-year-old transgender woman on Oct. 26, 2022.

The document, which was obtained by The Post, notes that the accused attacker was assigned male at birth, and was using the women’s bathroom despite a state law signed in May 2022 that requires public school students to use restrooms matching the sex on their birth certificates.

Trans students who decline to follow the policy must use “a single-occupancy restroom or changing room.’”

The alleged attacker was removed from the school by police on Oct. 21 after threatening E.G., the lawsuit states.

The school district said in a statement in December that it did not know the student was assigned male at birth because they only started attending Edmond Memorial days before the incident, FOX25 reported.

The student’s parents enrolled them as a woman without a birth certificate, which is not required to begin high school, the statement continued. —>READ MORE HERE

Oklahoma mother files lawsuit against school district after her teenage daughter, 15, was ‘severely beaten’ by a transgender student, 17, in the girls’ bathroom:

A mother is suing her daughter’s school district after she was ‘severely beaten’ by a transgender classmate last year.

Theresa Gooden says her 15-year-old daughter was attacked in the girls’ bathroom at Edmond Memorial High School in Oklahoma, on October 26.

Gooden claims the school failed to enforce a state law which was signed into legislation in May 2022 and requires public school pupils to use restrooms according to the sex on their birth certificate.

Under law passed by Gov Kevin Stitt, transgender students who refuse to follow the policy have to use a ‘single-occupancy restroom or changing room’.

Gooden claims that as a result of the law not being followed, her daughter – referred to as E.G. – suffered ‘severe physical and mental injuries, severe physical and mental pain and suffering, and severe emotional distress.’

The lawsuit states that the alleged attacker, who was born male, was removed from the school by police after threatening the teenage girl with a weapon on October 21.

Gooden is seeking an amount in excess of $75,000 in damages from the district as well as payment of her costs.

The suit also states that the transgender student ‘confided’ in her daughter that ‘he was in fact a male student that identified as a female.’

E.G. claims that she informed the assistant principal Maryjel Cochrane of the conversation, but court documents claim nothing was done. —>READ MORE HERE
