Biden DOJ Indicts Former President Donald Trump Over Classified Documents Squabble
The same week news broke that President Joe Biden was allegedly involved in a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme during his time as vice president, the Biden Department of Justice reportedly indicted former President Donald Trump for allegedly mishandling classified documents.
In a series of Truth Social posts issued Thursday night, Trump revealed that the “corrupt Biden Administration” informed his attorneys that he has been indicted and has been summoned to appear at Miami’s federal courthouse on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The brazenly corrupt FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in August in an attempt to retrieve “any document Trump ever saw, read, or created for the entirety of his four years as commander-in-chief.” Notably, the affidavit released by the FBI later that same month justifying the agency’s warrant application to raid Trump’s Florida residence was nearly all redacted.
The DOJ ultimately appointed U.S. Attorney Jack Smith as a special counsel to investigate the matter in November.
“I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the History of our Country, and is currently leading, by far, all Candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in Polls of the 2024 Presidential Election. I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!” Trump said.
The former president continued, saying it’s “a DARK DAY for the United States of America,” and, “We are a Country in serious and rapid Decline.”
Meanwhile, there has been no indication from the DOJ that Biden — who has been caught mishandling classified documents that date back to his time in the Senate — will be indicted over such issues.
Shortly after issuing his Truth posts, Trump released a video message highlighting previous attempts by Democrats and their deep-state allies to cripple his presidency, including the Russia-collusion hoax and House Democrats’ sham impeachment trials. Last month, U.S. Attorney John Durham released his long-awaited report that showed the FBI possessed no real evidence that then-candidate Donald Trump colluded with the Russians when it launched its investigation into the Trump campaign leading up to the 2016 election.
“If [Democrats] would devote their energies to honesty and integrity, it’d be a lot better for our country,” Trump said. “Our country is going to hell and they come after Donald Trump, weaponizing the Justice Department, weaponizing the FBI. We can’t let this continue to go on because it’s ripping our country to shreds.”
News of the DOJ’s indictment of Trump came the exact same day House Republicans gained access to a long-withheld FBI document allegedly showing that then-Vice President Biden took part in a criminal bribery scheme with an executive at Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company where Biden’s son Hunter sat on the board, that “involved influence over U.S. policy decisions.” As The Federalist’s Senior Legal Corresponded Margot Cleveland has detailed, a “trusted” and “highly credible” confidential human source told the FBI about an alleged “agreement by now-President Biden to deliver preferred foreign policy positions for a $5 million payment.”

The FBI only granted House Republicans access to the FD-1023 form on Thursday after House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt for violating a congressional subpoena over the document.
