Grassley: Burisma Exec Behind Biden Bribery Scandal Allegedly Kept 17 Recordings Of Talks With Joe, Hunter
Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley revealed during an explosive U.S. Senate floor speech Monday that the Burisma executive behind an alleged Biden pay-to-play scandal allegedly kept 15 audio recordings of conversations between him and Hunter Biden and two recordings of conversations between him and then-Vice President Joe Biden as an “insurance policy.”
According to Grassley, the revelations are a redacted reference in the FD-1023 form. That form, which the FBI attempted to hide from the House Oversight Committee, summarizes a “highly credible” confidential human source’s allegations that then-VP Joe Biden engaged in a $5 million criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national in exchange for influence over U.S. policy decisions.
“The [FD-1023 form] produced to the House committees redacted reference that the foreign national who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden allegedly has audio recordings of his conversation with them — 17 such recordings,” said Grassley. “These recordings were allegedly kept as a sort of insurance policy for the foreign national in case he got into a tight spot.”
Grassley also said the form suggests Joe might have been the reason Hunter scored a spot on the board of Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that paid the Biden son inordinate amounts of money despite his lack of relevant expertise. “The 1023 also indicates that then-Vice President Joe Biden may have been involved in Burisma employing Hunter Biden,” Grassley stated.
“Based on the facts known to the Congress and the public, it’s clear that the Justice Department [and] the FBI haven’t nearly had the same laser focus on the Biden family,” Grassley added, noting that “Special Counsel Jack Smith has used a recording against former President Trump.”
Indeed, as Grassley suggests, the DOJ doesn’t appear interested in upholding “equal justice under the law.” News of Biden’s alleged multimillion-dollar bribery scheme broke last week — at the same time that the DOJ announced former President Donald Trump would be facing a total of 37 counts in a criminal indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents. Notably, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Mike Pence, and Barack Obama all had “documents disputes” and did not face the wrath of the deep state.

“Based on the facts known to Congress and the public, it’s clear that the Justice Department and FBI will use every resource to investigate candidate Trump, President Trump, and former President Trump,” Grassley wrote in a press release following his Senate floor speech. “Two standards of justice in this country will turn our constitutional Republic upside down,” he continued. “Thanks to the political infection within the Biden Justice Department and FBI, we’re well along the road for that to happen.”
Grassley stated in his press release that FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was nearly held in contempt of Congress for stonewalling lawmakers’ investigation of the Biden family business, littered the unclassified FD-1023 form with redactions. “More than that, the FBI made Congress review a redacted unclassified document in a classified facility,” he added. “That goes to show you the disrespect the FBI has for Congress.”
Grassley demanded to know what the Justice Department and FBI have “done to investigate” the alleged bribery scandal. “The Justice Department and FBI must show their work,” wrote Grassley. “They no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt.”
“Getting a full and complete 1023 is critical for the American people to know and understand the true nature of the document and to hold the Justice Department and FBI accountable,” he concluded. “Congress owes it to the American people and the brave and heroic whistleblowers to continue to fight for transparency in this matter and make this document public without unnecessary redactions.”
