Man Who Stole Sean Feucht’s Guitar Repents, Asks for Forgiveness

Worship leader Sean Feucht said the man who stole his guitar has repented and asked for forgiveness.

According to ChurchLeaders.com, Feucht’s 1967 Gallagher guitar was stolen last week. He said it was found at a pawn shop five days after it was stolen. The instrument was traded for drugs and then sold to the store.

“BREAKING NEWS! MAN WHO STOLE MY GUITAR GETS WRECKED BY GOD’S LOVE!!” Feucht posted on Instagram.

A friend of Feucht’s ministering in Spokane, Washington, met a man named Zach, who confessed to breaking into Feucht’s car and stealing his guitar.

“Dean was doing street ministry…when he ran into Zach, who confessed to breaking into my car and stealing my guitar,” Feucht wrote. “He began showing videos of me leading worship, and Zach began to repent and ask forgiveness.

“ONLY GOD CAN WRITE A STORY LIKE THIS! He takes what the enemy meant for evil and turns it around!”

Feucht said he is inviting Zach to his “Let Us Worship” event in Spokane next month.

“Please pray” for Zach to attend the worship event in Spokane on Aug. 20. He said his worship team is praying and “believing for Zach’s salvation! This would complete the God story of taking what the enemy meant for evil and turning it around for good.”

The guitar was stolen from Feucht’s car while it was parked in downtown Spokane. It was a gift from author and songwriter Ray Hughes, Feucht said.

Hughes, Feucht noted, “wrecked me when I was in high school because I would listen to his tapes on the Tabernacle of David. I was listening to this thinking, ‘God, if I could one day be a psalmist like that.'”

Hughes had previously said that he found the guitar in rough shape but decided to have it restored.

Feucht said he had to buy the guitar back from the pawn shop.
