Eventbrite Nukes Events Promoting Protection Of Kids As ‘Hateful’ And ‘Dangerous’

Online ticketing platform Eventbrite recently unpublished two events from Purple for Parents Indiana, an organization fighting to protect children from indoctrination and sexualization in schools.

The first event, “RSVP America: Restoring Social Virtue and Purity to America,” exposes the history and agenda behind laws allowing children to be sexualized in schools. Miller said her group used Eventbrite to sell tickets for a previous RSVP America conference.

Eventbrite’s decision to unpublish the upcoming conference followed a July 11 Reddit post on the r/Indiana subreddit asking people to “Report a hate group event!”

“The registered hate group purple for parents is hosting an event,” the post read. “Check out their eventbright [sic] event and report it.” The user included a link, and more than 20 users confirmed in comments or replies on the post that they had reported the event to Eventbrite.

On July 18, Miller received an email from Eventbrite Trust and Safety notifying her the event had been unpublished. “We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, specifically our policy on Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content and Events,” the email said.

According to Eventbrite’s Community Guidelines, this type of content includes “Hate speech, hateful ideologies, and hateful activities that incite, encourage or engage in violence, intimidation, disparagement, harassment, or threats” based on certain characteristics.

Eventbrite’s email warned that “severe or repeated violations of our guidelines may result in the suspension or termination of your Eventbrite account.”

Around the same time, a chapter leader for Independent Women’s Network received a similar email from Eventbrite regarding her event “Let Women Speak Austin,” which advocates for sex-based protections for women and girls, including privacy in female spaces.

Miller said Purple for Parents Indiana’s board attorney issued a “stern response” to Eventbrite, and Miller then republished the event. Eventbrite took it down again on July 20. The board’s attorney replied to the email and requested that their legal team get in contact with her as soon as possible. As of press time, Eventbrite had not responded.

Two days later, Eventbrite unpublished the organization’s other upcoming conference, “Save Our Children and America,” which had also been targeted by Reddit users. Purple for Parents Indiana is now promoting the events by other means.

“They seem to be targeting Christian and conservative events based on what these radical activists do and the pressure that they put on them,” Miller said. The Purple for Parents Indiana president noted that her organization has gotten more attention since the Southern Poverty Law Center added the group to its “hate map” in June along with other organizations advocating for parental rights in education. “I do believe SPLC’s hand in all of this has tipped off the radicals, because the attacks have ramped up since being put on the hate list,” Miller said.

The SPLC has recently conceded that its “hate” designations are completely subjective, as The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd reported here. Yet the Biden administration, corporate media, Big Tech, lawmakers, and radical left-wing activists use them as the basis for targeting conservative groups such as Purple for Parents Indiana and Moms for Liberty. The SPLC is currently wrapped up in a brutal lawsuit after the Dustin Inman Society and its founder sued the group for subjectively defaming the border-security organization as an “anti-immigrant hate group.”

“If the SPLC was not supported and propelled by the mainstream, traditional media, they would just be another hate-mongering, money-making organization,” said Dustin Inman Society founder and President D.A. King.

Eventbrite’s political activism, according to its 2022 Corporate Responsibility Report, included advocating for abortion, federal gun restrictions, and codification of same-sex “marriage.” Eventbrite previously unpublished other conservative events, including a screening of Matt Walsh’s documentary “What is a Woman?”

According to CNN Business, two of Eventbrite’s 10 biggest stockholders are Vanguard and BlackRock, massive asset management firms that use their economic clout to push radical “environmental, social, and governance” (ESG) agendas.

As of press time, Eventbrite had not responded to a request for comment.
