Jen Psaki Admits Democrats Everywhere Want To Legalize Abortions Until Birth

MSNBC host Jen Psaki admitted in a recent episode of her “Inside with Jen Psaki” show that Democrats want to allow abortion up until the moment of birth.

The former White House press secretary no doubt intended to use the segment to double down on her previous lie that “no one supports abortion up until birth.” Shortly into her monologue, however, Psaki confirmed that leftist legislators everywhere are fighting to legalize late-term abortions.

“Mothers have described in heart-wrenching detail having to make the decision to end their pregnancy to save their own life, or because they were told the baby that they were so excited for would not survive, or would suffer,” Psaki said. “Are most Democrats in favor of legislation that allows for this? Yes. For all the reasons I just outlined.”

In the same segment, Psaki cites as evidence a Washington Post article that quotes an abortion facility director saying “In an average week at my office, 25 to 50 percent of the patients have some serious, catastrophic fetal abnormality.” The article’s suggested examples of such anomalies include “neural tube defects, Down syndrome, spine or brain problems or … birth defects like cleft palate, heart problems and kidney problems.” According to Democrats, such conditions, some of which obviously do not threaten the child’s life, justify ripping a viable baby limb-by-limb from his mother’s womb.

Despite admitting that Democrats do want laws that permit ending an unborn baby’s life during any gestation period, Psaki once again claimed that “no one is rooting for late-term abortions.”

“No one is running on the platform of aborting viable babies. No one is selling late-term abortions as Ron DeSantis claims. No one. Not Joe Biden, not Kamala Harris, not Hillary Clinton, not Nancy Pelosi, or any other politicians demonized by the right wing roots for late-term abortion,” Psaki said.

Psaki never had a good defense for this lie. Not only does she have a history of pushing policies that allow for the murder of fully gestated babies, but so do Democrats all across the nation.

Psaki says Republican assertions that the left wants to legalize unlimited, on-demand abortion are “entirely misleading” (notice she didn’t say “untrue”!) but hinges her justification for that claim on the idea that abortions beyond fetal viability, which is often thought to be around 22 weeks gestation, are “incredibly rare.”

NBC News’ Dasha Burns used a similar excuse during her sitdown with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to wave off his concerns about Democrats’ abortion-for-all agenda.

Regardless of the frequency of late-term abortions, Democrats and their allies in the corporate media regularly advocate for policies that explicitly allow abortions throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

Abortion until birth is unpopular with a majority of Americans, which is why Democrats like Psaki often scramble to obfuscate their real views. No amount of clamoring by the left’s media shills, however, can erase the fact that roughly a quarter of U.S. states passed laws or constitutional amendments that effectively ensure abortions during any moment in pregnancy. Eligibility for late-term abortions can rely on a medical professional’s subjective judgment but in some cases, it does not.

Psaki once again confirmed this part of Democrats’ abortion strategy by insisting that abortion should be a decision between “the woman carrying the baby” and “her doctor,” free from any restrictions passed by legislators.
