Jim Jordan Subpoenas Anti-Free Speech Group Over Censorship Collusion With Biden Regime

The foreign dark money group that colluded with the Biden administration to commission the censorship of Americans on Big Tech platforms must hand over any communications and documents that explain which online “content moderation occurred as a result of the government’s influence,” a new subpoena from Republican Rep. Jim Jordan says.

The House Judiciary Committee decided to pursue information from the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) — the think tank that tried to get The Federalist deplatformed in 2020 — thanks to the stunning censorship admissions discovered in the Missouri v. Biden case.

“It is necessary for Congress to gauge the extent to which the federal government or one of
its proxies worked with or relied upon CCDH to censor speech,” Chairman Jordan wrote in the subpoena’s accompanying letter to CCDH CEO Imran Ahmed. “The scope of the Committee’s
investigation includes intermediaries who may or may not have had a full understanding of the
government’s efforts and motivations.”

The committee’s investigation, Jordan explained, stems directly from its desire to “develop effective legislation” that would prevent the federal government from demanding the silencing of millions of Americans.

Jordan first asked CCDH on Aug. 3 to turn over documents, communications, and grant paperwork that would inform the committee’s investigation into the Biden regime’s speech suppression campaign.

CCDH issued a report in 2021 claiming that 12 users on Big Tech sites are responsible for spreading “harmful and dangerous” vaccine-hesitant information. Internal Facebook documents obtained by the Judiciary Committee found that the Biden administration used this report as an excuse in its “unconstitutional pressure campaign against social media platforms to censor” the dissenting “disinformation dozen” for rejecting the regime’s COVID-19 propaganda campaign. A dozen state attorneys general also begged Silicon Valley giants to ban those named in the CCDH report.

Then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki admitted that the Biden administration was already colluding with corrupt Big Tech oligarchs to boost U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy’s urgings for Facebook and Twitter to crack down on “misinformation ‘super-spreaders.’” Around the same time, President Joe Biden claimed that a lack of censorship by these social media sites was “killing people.”

Even though it has publicly admitted to what the committee calls “directly engaging with the Executive Branch and social media companies,” CCDH explicitly refused to hand over any information detailing its relationship with censors and the federal government.

“By declining to produce anything of substance in response to the Committee’s request, CCDH is hindering the Committee’s ability to fulfill its constitutional oversight obligations,” Jordan noted.

Now, CCDH has until the end of September to cough up evidence of its censorship scheme or face the wrath of the Judiciary Committee and Weaponization Subcommittee.
