Busing Illegal Immigrants to Blue America Is Working: Democrats Deserve Blame for Biden’s Border Crisis; Fully 82% of New Yorkers call the migrant influx a ‘serious problem’ – voters seek an end to the ‘burden’ of asylum seekers and sour on Joe Biden’s Democratic Party

Busing Illegal Immigrants to Blue America Is Working: Democrats Deserve Blame for Biden’s Border Crisis:

Republican border-state strategy to send illegal immigrants to Democrat-run cities and states is paying off.

On Thursday, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul sent a letter to President Joe Biden begging for federal aid. Importantly, she finally acknowledged where the problem is coming from.

“This is a financial burden the city and state are shouldering on behalf of the federal government,” Hochul, a fellow Democrat, said of the illegal immigrants pouring into New York.

“I cannot ask New Yorkers to pay for what is fundamentally a federal responsibility,” the governor wrote. “And I urge the federal government to take prompt and significant action today to meet its obligation to New York State.”

In a press conference following release of the letter, Hochul further complained about illegal immigrants released into the country by the Biden administration.

What happened to all are welcome, no exceptions?

This is an interesting pivot from the New York governor. Until now, Democrat politicians mostly have been unwilling to criticize the White House in any way on the border security issue, or even suggest that the Biden administration is where the problem originates.

If you want to know the reason for the sudden pivot, a new poll sheds light. The Siena College poll released Tuesday shows that New Yorkers are deeply discontented about the surge of illegal immigrants in their state and mostly blame Democrat leaders.

“New Yorkers—including huge majorities of Democrats, Republicans, independents, upstaters and downstaters—overwhelmingly say that the recent influx of migrants to New York is a serious problem for the state,” Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg said. —>READ MORE HERE

Fully 82% of New Yorkers call the migrant influx a ‘serious problem’ – voters seek an end to the ‘burden’ of asylum seekers and sour on Joe Biden’s Democratic Party

Four fifths of New Yorkers say the recent influx of migrants is a ‘serious problem’ for the state, with many calling newcomers a ‘burden’ and souring on President Joe Biden’s Democratic Party.

Fully 82 percent of Empire State voters said the stream of some 100,000 asylum seekers was a concern, and more than half of them — 54 percent — said it was ‘very serious,’ a Siena College poll shows.

When asked about the settling of migrants in New York these past two decades, nearly half of respondents — 46 percent — called them a ‘burden’ on resources. Less than a third called them a ‘benefit.’

Voters also expressed disapproval at how the state’s Democratic leaders — Gov Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Eric Adams — were handling the crisis, the latest sign that immigration is a weakness for the party in upcoming elections.

‘New Yorkers — including huge majorities of Democrats, Republicans, independents, upstaters and downstaters — overwhelmingly say that the recent influx of migrants to New York is a serious problem,’ pollster Steven Greenberg said in a statement.

Mayor Adams this month said some 100,000 asylum seekers had arrived in the city recently, forcing officials to spend more than $12 billion over a three-year period on sheltering them and other costs. —>READ MORE HERE
