NY POST: Ukraine accuses Elon Musk of ‘committing evil’ by thwarting attack on Russian fleet:
A senior aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Elon Musk of “committing evil” — and being driven by “a cocktail of ignorance and big ego” — when he thwarted a drone attack on a Russian fleet.
Mykhailo Podolyak lashed out in the wake of claims in a new biography of the tech billionaire that Musk, in 2022, ordered his engineers to turn off his Starlink satellite network operated by SpaceX in Crimea to prevent a “mini-Pearl Harbor” targeting Moscow’s warships.
“Sometimes a mistake is much more than just a mistake,” Zelensky’s adviser wrote in an angry post on X, formerly known as Twitter — a platform also owned by Musk.
Podolyak argued that by not letting Ukrainian drones destroy a portion of Russia’s Black Sea fleet through his alleged meddling with the Starlink network, Musk allowed the naval ships to fire Kalibr missiles on Ukrainian cities and slaughter civilians.
Sometimes a mistake is much more than just a mistake. By not allowing Ukrainian drones to destroy part of the Russian military (!) fleet via #Starlink interference, @elonmusk allowed this fleet to fire Kalibr missiles at Ukrainian cities. As a result, civilians, children are…

Mykhailo Podolyak lashed out at Musk on Twitter Thursday.
“This is the price of a cocktail of ignorance and big ego,” the Ukrainian official seethed. “However, the question still remains: why do some people so desperately want to defend war criminals and their desire to commit murder? And do they now realize that they are committing evil and encouraging evil?” —>READ MORE HERE
WSJ: Musk Says He Thwarted Attack on Russian Fleet in Ukraine’s Crimea:
The world’s richest man says he declined to turn on Starlink internet there, highlighting his company’s role in the conflict
Elon Musk said he declined a request to activate Starlink satellite communications around Sevastopol in Ukraine’s Russian-occupied Crimea, thwarting what he described as an attempt to sink Russian ships there.
The billionaire—who won praise from Ukrainian officials for Starlink but has recently drawn their ire over comments around the war—said he wanted to prevent his SpaceX company from becoming “explicitly complicit in a major act of war and conflict escalation.”
Musk’s statements on his X platform, formerly called Twitter, came after excerpts were published from a coming biography that describe his alleged role in preventing a Ukrainian attempt last year to use naval drones to strike Russian ships based in Sevastopol on the Crimean Peninsula, which was annexed by Russia in 2014.
Ukrainian officials didn’t comment on the details, but Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said on Thursday on X that, by preventing the attack last year, Musk had allowed the fleet to fire cruise missiles at Ukrainian cities, causing civilian casualties. “This is the price of a cocktail of ignorance and big ego,” he wrote.
Musk’s comments shed light on the delicate decision-making that the world’s richest man has faced as his Starlink service has become an increasingly critical part of Ukraine’s resistance to Russia’s 18-month-old invasion. The 52-year-old, who also leads electric-vehicle maker Tesla and other ventures, is navigating the tension between his outspoken personality and the business case for an executive to try to remain in the good graces of foreign governments. —>READ MORE HERE
