Every Republican In America Should Follow Javier Milei’s Masterclass In Going On Offense Against Abortion

Argentine presidential candidate Javier Milei speaks the truth about abortion like no American politician has the guts to do.

During a sit-down interview with Tucker Carlson, Milei did not shy away from condemning the evils of abortion. Instead, the frontrunner declared that those who swear to uphold natural rights are duty-bound to safeguard life in the womb.

“As a libertarian, we believe that liberalism entails the unrestricted respect for the lives of others, rooted in a principle of non-aggression and the defense of life, liberty, and property. And if we cleave these ideas of liberty, one of the most fundamental aspects is to defend the right to life,” Milei explained in a translated clip published on Thursday.

Milei is not pro-life simply because of his Catholic or “libertarian” affiliations. He said he wants legal measures to protect unborn babies because there is also “philosophical,” “scientific,” and “mathematic” evidence that demands it.

“Philosophically speaking, I am in favor of the right to life. Beyond that, there is a scientific justification to be had. It’s the fact that life begins at conception, it’s at that very instant that a new being begins to evolve with its own unique DNA,” Milei said.

His inclusion of the fact that “life begins at conception” alone proves Milei knows more than pro-abortion corporate media mouthpieces like The Washington Post’s Philip Bump. Even then, Milei wasn’t finished building the case for unborn babies.

“Beyond that, there is a matter of mathematics,” he explained. “Life is a continuum with two quantum leaps: birth and death. Any interruption in the interim is murder.”

Republicans, take notes because Milei’s ability to correctly identify murder in the womb as “murder” is just the first step in communicating the pro-life position and tearing down the left’s lies.

“While it’s true that women have the right to their own bodies, the child in a woman’s womb is not her body,” Milei continued. “That child is not her body. That makes abortion a murder, enabled and aggravated by a power imbalance against a child that has no way to defend itself.”

Milei’s dissection of abortion is hard-hitting and compelling because it’s factual. At no point in his two-minute answer did Milei beat around the bush about abortion or the rhetoric often employed to advance it. Instead, he called it out for what it is — murder — and has pledged to do something to stop it.

The same can’t be said for Republicans who lean on vague rhetoric to couch their pro-life positions and legislation over fears of hurting their election chances.

The American left is by far the biggest proponent of murder in the womb, but Democrats’ abortion-until-birth policies aren’t the only threats to unborn babies’ lives. Republican capitulation on abortion hampers the protection of preborn life too.

History shows that GOPers who boldly go on offense for unborn babies are often rewarded in elections, often with double-digit victories. Yet, Republican leaders often urge red politicians to hold a noncommittal view on abortion.

As I write this, Senate GOP leadership is siding with the radical Biden regime to wage a war against one of its own for fighting the Pentagon’s abortion extremism. It’s not the first time some of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s allies went against Americans’ wishes for life in the womb and it likely won’t be the last.

Elected Republicans aren’t the only ones stifling pro-life progress. A majority of 2024 Republican presidential candidates, despite supporting heartbeat laws and restrictions in their own states, won’t commit to signing a popular 15-week ban into law on the federal level.

Politicians calling abortion murder and doing something to stop it shouldn’t be a bonus, it should be a requirement. There’s no denying the immorality of abortion, something many Americans recognize. There’s no denying the science about conception, something countless scientists and researchers have repeatedly confirmed.

Being unapologetically pro-life means accepting that science and understanding unborn babies’ right to life. GOP officials should be screaming those truths from the Capitol rooftop, not whispering them on Fox News.

Anyone who fails to uphold the truths about the sanctity of life in the womb, to borrow Milei’s words, is guilty of having “enabled and aggravated” a deadly “power imbalance against a child that has no way to defend itself.” Nothing is more shameful.
