‘God’s Plan Includes Abortion’: Shout Your Abortion Posts Pro-Abortion Billboards along a Major Interstate
A pro-abortion activist group, Shout Your Abortion, has posted six billboards across Interstate 55, which stretches across five pro-life states.
As reported by The Daily Wire, the billboards feature several messages, including “God’s Plan Includes Abortion” and “Abortion Is Okay. You Are Loved.”
“We are so proud of these billboards. If you see one on I-55, take a pic and let us know. Good luck to everyone having an abortion today! <3”, the group tweeted earlier this month.

Amelia Brown, who co-founded Shout Your Abortion, shared that some of these billboards were posted en route to Illinois, a strongly pro-abortion state.
“Interstate 55 carries 10s of thousands of abortion seekers out of southern states to Illinois, where abortion is legal. I-55 is covered with horrific, shaming billboards. @ShoutYrAbortion put up 6 good ones, to show love & affirmation to those making the journey,” Brown wrote on X.

During an interview with The Washington Post, Brown said, “It feels really good to think that we could have made somebody’s experience just a little bit easier.”
Although the billboards will be up until next week, Brown said she wished for them “to be everywhere.”
In 2018, she explained why she helped launch the organization, for which she serves as the executive director.
“[W]hen I found out that the House of Representatives had voted to defund Planned Parenthood. I kind of unraveled,” Brown said in Oprah Winfrey’s magazine Oprah in July 2018. “I opened Facebook and, without thinking, wrote, ‘Like a year ago, I had an abortion at Planned Parenthood … and I remember this experience with a nearly inexpressible level of gratitude.’ I hit Post 153 words later, and everything changed.”
“… after the House vote, it struck me that the times I’d ranted about abortion rights, I hadn’t actually invoked my own experience,” she added. “On some level, I’d internalized the stigma — though I honestly wasn’t ashamed. Then why hide? It wasn’t out of character for me to disclose something so personal online. What was out of character was my silence.”
Following the group’s launch, Shout Your Abortion received backing from Hollywood, including actresses Lizz Winstead and Sarah Silverman, who promoted a “Stand Up for Shout Your Abortion” party in Los Angeles.
