Heavy gunfire and explosive devices targeted Israeli forces in the camp during the raid. The clashes continued for about four hours on Sunday morning.
Israeli bulldozer reportedly damaged by explosive device
Palestinian media reported that a number of bulldozers were being used by the Israeli forces raiding the camp, with one of the bulldozers reportedly damaged by an explosive device used by Palestinian terrorists.
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the local branch of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s al-Quds Brigades announced that they were taking part in the clashes.
The Palestinians killed in the clashes were identified as Aseed Jabaawi and Abdul Rahman Abu Daghash.
Power outages were also reported in the camp amid the clashes.
Earlier this month, a Palestinian was killed as Israeli forces destroyed explosives being stored in the Nur Shams refugee camp. During that raid, explosive devices also targeted Israeli bulldozers.
