Sadie Robertson Huff Responds to Disney Visit Backlash

Public Speaker and author Sadie Robertson Huff, of “Duck Dynasty,” addressed criticism over a family trip to Disney World on her podcast “Whoa That’s Good.” Robertson Huff, 26, and her mother, Korie Robertson, discussed the backlash, emphasizing their disagreement with some of Disney’s values. Robertson Huff’s Instagram post of the family at Disney World sparked both support and criticism, with concerns raised about the company’s perceived dark side.

Urging Christians to avoid “cancel culture,” she highlighted the danger of extreme judgment. Fans expressed their disapproval on Sadie’s social media, to which she responded by citing Mark 2:13-16, reminding Christians how important it is not to pass harmful judgment.

Robertson Huff acknowledged the recent Disney controversy and Christian critique of Disney’s programming in recent years, with some alleging inappropriate content and bowing to the LGBT movement. She emphasized Christians’ call to be “in this world and not of the world.” Quoting biblical passages, she explained that being in the presence of sinners doesn’t compromise one’s holiness.

Sadie defended the family trip, saying it was a precious moment in time to capture right now while her daughter loves Disney princesses so much. While critical of some of Disney’s projects, she noted positive aspects in films like “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Moana.” Concerned about potential shifts in Disney’s content, she further clarified that she does not support morally objectionable material.

Sadie, a popular social influence in the Christian community, stressed the importance of individuality amid societal pressures.
