Organizers Behind Pro-Palestinian ‘Insurrection’ at Capitol Have Pro-Terror History; Anti-Defamation League Calls Jewish Protesters ‘anti-Semitic’ for Demanding a Ceasefire

Organizers Behind Pro-Palestinian ‘Insurrection’ at Capitol Have Pro-terror History:

The pro-Palestinian protesters who staged an “insurrection” on Wednesday by illegally occupying a Capitol office building were led, in part, by a group that calls itself “Jewish Voice for Peace” (JVP) but has a history of supporting Palestinian terrorists.

As Breitbart News reported:

Pro-Palestinian protesters, who want a ceasefire that would benefit the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza, stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday and staged a protest inside the Cannon Rotunda that one observer likened to an “insurrection.”

The Cannon Rotunda is part of the Cannon House Office Building. It is separate from the iconic Capitol building but is considered part of the Capitol complex. It is the oldest congressional office building on Capitol Hill.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who falsely accused Israel of bombing a Gaza hospital Tuesday, addressed the protesters.

As The Hill reported, three protesters were arrested for assaulting police officers.

Arrests in the Canon Rotunda and the rolling road closures are ongoing.

Amongst these arrests, three people have been arrested and charged with Assault on a Police Officer during processing.

The demonstration, it noted, was “organized jointly by the Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and IfNotNow” — both radical left-wing organizations that oppose the State of Israel.

IfNotNow supports radical anti-Israel Reps. Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). In addition, as Breitbart News noted in 2019: —>READ MORE HERE

Anti-Defamation League calls Jewish protesters ‘anti-Semitic’ for demanding a ceasefire:

Yesterday, over 500 protestors with Jewish-led organizations IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace stormed Capitol Hill and were subsequently arrested for demanding a ceasefire in Israel-Palestine. The veteran Jewish-led civil rights organization the Anti-Defamation League condemned them and called them “antisemitic.”

There were protesters both outside of the building where prominent figures including Jewish journalist Naomi Klein, Palestinian-American Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, and Congresswoman Cori Bush spoke on the issue, as well as protestors inside the rotunda that were singing and chanting for peace.

The protestors held posters that read “Jews say: Ceasefire now,” “My grief is not your weapon,” “No to war, no to apartheid,” “Stop genocide in Gaza,” and more.

IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace are both Jewish-led organizations that lobby against the US giving billions in aid to Israel, which is used to maintain its occupation over Palestine.

While the groups have slightly different coalitions and mission statements, both joined forces to launch what is considered the largest Jewish protest in solidarity with Palestinians in US history.

However, the ADL – which is a well-established Jewish civil rights organization with a stronghold in Washington DC – condemned the protestors for denying “Israel’s clear right to defend itself against Hamas terrorists.” —>READ MORE HERE
