CBP Memo Sounds Alarm On Hamas, Hezbollah Fighters Potentially Using Southern Border to Enter US; US Border Patrol are on High Alert for Hamas Militants and Other Anti-Israel Terrorists Trying to Cross America’s Insecure Southern Border from Mexico, Leaked Government Memo Shows

CBP memo sounds alarm on Hamas, Hezbollah fighters potentially using southern border to enter US:

The memo warns of multiple terrorist groups who may try to enter the US

A Customs and Border Protection (CBP) memo is warning staff of the risk that foreign terrorist fighters engaged in the Israel-Hamas conflict could soon be attempting to enter the United States via the besieged southern border.

In a Friday memo by the agency’s San Diego Field Office’s intelligence unit, obtained by Fox News, the agency warns that individuals “inspired by, or reacting to, the current Israel-Hamas conflict may attempt travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle East via circuitous transit across the Southwest border.”

“Foreign fighters motivated by ideology or mercenary soldiers of fortune may attempt to obfuscate travel to or from the US to or from countries in the Middle East through Mexico.”

The memo, first reported by the Daily Caller, specifically mentions Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Hezbollah.

It warns of possible indicators, including military-age males, the possession of military gear, single travelers, an undetermined return plan and an association with the region.

The memo is the latest sign of ongoing concerns about a potential terrorist threat at the border, just as the U.S. is facing a record number of migrants from across the globe coming to its southern border and overwhelming Border Patrol agents. Those concerns have been renewed in the wake of the attack against Israel by Hamas, sparking concerns that foreign terrorist fighters could use the border as a way to access the United States to launch attacks against the homeland.

A CBP spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the agency “has seen no indication of Hamas-directed foreign fighters seeking to make entry into the United States.”

“It is the policy of CBP to neither confirm nor speak to potentially improperly disclosed information or internal documents marked as law enforcement sensitive or for official use only,” the spokesperson said. “In general, CBP provides frontline personnel a wide range of context for situational awareness in order to ensure they remain vigilant in fulfillment of our homeland and border security missions. Situational awareness briefs are not threat assessments.” —>READ MORE HERE

US border patrol are on high alert for Hamas militants and other anti-Israel terrorists trying to cross America’s insecure southern border from Mexico, leaked government memo shows:

US border guards are out on high alert for Hamas and other anti-Israel militants trying to cross America’s insecure southern border with Mexico, leaked government papers show.

A bulletin from the San Diego Customs and Border Protection (CBP) office urges guards to be on the lookout for members of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Hamas’s deadly raids on southern Israel on October 7 have stoked fears that fighters from anti-Israel armed groups may try to attack the Jewish state’s main global backer — the US.

‘Individuals inspired by, or reacting to, the current Israel-Hamas conflict may attempt travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle East via circuitous transit across the Southwest border,’ says the memo.

The one-pager urges CBP guards to be on the lookout for ‘fighters motivated by ideology’ from the Middle East who are passing through Mexico into the US.

It features the logos sometimes worn by members of Hamas, which controls Gaza, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah, an Iran-backed Lebanese militia.

They should focus on single, military-age men and look out for the patches, weapons, or camouflage gear.

Guards should ask them about their plans to return to the Middle East, whether they have military training, or any associations they have with Israel or Palestinian areas.

The memo was released on Friday and has since been shared with Fox News and other media outlets. —>READ MORE HERE
