‘Jeopardy’ Host Mayim Bialik Unprepared for Antisemitism Surge

The Anti-Defamation League is reporting 312 antisemitic incidents in the U.S. from Oct. 7 to Oct. 23, the same period after Hamas terrorists made a surprise attack on Israeli citizens.

According to Mission Network News, the rise in antisemitic incidents in America is a 387 percent increase in the same time last year.

The ADL also reported that there have been at least 109 anti-Israel protests and rallies in the U.S. that included explicit support of Hamas.

Actress and new “Jeopardy” host Mayim Bialik wrote in a TikTok post that “nothing has prepared” her for the increase in antisemitism she’s seeing since the Hamas attack.

“Imagine if there was a massacre of an ethnic group or a religious group, the equivalent of 50,000 Americans,” she said. “And imagine if what happened after that was that, all over the world, there were marches of tens of thousands of people calling for further massacre of those people. … That’s what it feels like right now as a Jewish person.

“There has not been an experience in my lifetime that has prepared me for this,” the celebrity continued. “I have heard from many people my whole life that antisemitism is growing. That the Holocaust — while we say we’ll never forget — many have forgotten.”

She pointed to recent protests and organizations at colleges nationwide that have had rallies supporting Palestine.

“We should not normalize it,” she said. “There is no excuse for calling for a genocide of an entire people. Period. Full stop.”

America isn’t the only country seeing more antisemitic incidents. In Russia, rioters rallied at an airport to target citizens from Tel Aviv and shout anti-semitic phrases at them. Police arrested some 60 people.

“There was an airplane with Israelis coming, and [rioters] were all seeking to butcher, to kill, to murder Jews. And you see all that is happening worldwide,” said Victo Kalisher, executive director of The Bible Society in Israel.

“Antisemitism is a demonic virus that many people have. It didn’t disappear. It’s there, and once in a while, in the right circumstances, it comes out.”
