Franklin Graham Prays with Benjamin Netanyahu amid Israel-Hamas War

Evangelist Franklin Graham met and prayed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday as Israel’s war on Hamas continues.

Graham, the CEO of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), shared that meeting Netanyahu and praying with him was a “privilege.”

“This man needs our prayers,” he said in a statement shared with CBN Digital. “He is facing the most trying time since the birth of their nation, with 1,200 people killed, more than 240 men, women, and children taken as hostages, and many injured in the Hamas attack.”

“As I spoke with a woman whose husband was taken hostage, the fear and heartache is overwhelming,” Graham continued. “Pray for these hostages and their families, pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Graham shared that Samaritan’s Purse had provided 21 ambulances to Magen David Alom, Israel’s first responder.

“A few days ago, we committed to replacing 14 ambulances for Magen David Adom (@Mdais), Israel’s first response service. These life-saving vehicles had been destroyed by Hamas in the October 7 attack,” the evangelist explained.

“Yesterday, I met with their teams and leadership, saw their need, and told them

@SamaritansPurse would provide seven more ambulances—for a total of 21—but these will be armored to provide additional protection for their medics and patients. They shared their deep appreciation for the help and the prayers in this time of great need.”

As reported by Faithwire, Graham’s meeting with Netanyahu follows a historic rally at the National Mall in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, where close to 300,000 gathered to demonstrate their support for Israel.

“A lot of what we’re doing with this event on Tuesday is to show the world, to show America, to show Congress, and to show the White House that the vast, vast majority of Americans stand with Israel and not with these Hamas sympathizers who are dressing like terrorists and minimizing and rationalizing the terror that has befallen Israel,” William Daroff, CEO of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, told CBN News.
