Nir Oz resident Gadi Haggai murdered, body held by Hamas

Nir Oz resident Gadi Haggai, 73, was murdered during the October 7 massacre and his body is still being held by Hamas, Kibbutz Nir Oz announced on Friday.

Gadi was a father of four and grandfather of seven, and his 70-year-old wife Judy Weinstein, is wounded and is still being held captive by Hamas.

The kibbutz stated that Gadi was “a sharp person, a gifted musician from the age of three, a chef and a follower of a healthy vegan diet.”

Haggai had been out on a walk on October 7 with his wife when he was “critically Injured,” the the Missing Persons Families Forum. Their daughter, Iris, heard in a phone call that they were hiding and that Gadi was injured and later lost contact with them. The two had encountered a terror squad on the 7th, who shot at them and took them to Gaza, Walla.

No hostage release in sight

Senior Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad said on Thursday that the terrorist organization ruled out the possibility of talks to revive exchanges of Israeli hostages in Gaza for Palestinian security prisoners.

Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political wing of the terrorist organization, met with intelligence officials in Cairo on Wednesday to discuss Israel’s offer but allegedly said that he was there to obtain a full ceasefire and more humanitarian aid.
