Tony Bobulinski Confirms In House Testimony That ‘The Biden Family Business Was Joe Biden’
Former Biden family associate Tony Bobulinski confirmed to House investigators this week that President Joe Biden played a key and national security-compromising role in his family’s self-enriching, influence-peddling scheme.
“The only reason any of these international business transactions took place, with tens of millions of dollars flowing directly to the Biden family, was because Joe Biden was in high office. The Biden family business was Joe Biden, period,” Bobulinski told investigators during his testimony to the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees on Tuesday, the transcript of which was released Friday morning.
Bobulinski testified that he chose to come forward at the risk of his “privacy,” “personal security,” and “that of my family” because he wanted to “tell the American people the truth about serious corruption at the top of their government.”
Despite Democrat, corporate media, government, and FBI efforts to undermine or ignore Bobulinski’s credibility, the witness spent the last four years corroborating the corruption allegations against Joe and the rest of the Biden family. Yet the same Democrats who admitted Joe lied about his family business contacts after Devon Archer testified to their committee last year used the deposition on Tuesday to continue sabotaging, disrupting, and belittling Bobulinski.
Rep. Dan Goldman accused Bobulinski of being “incredibly disrespectful” for saying he did not know the FBI’s protocols. Goldman later cut Bobulinski off, to which the witness retorted, “You don’t have to raise your voice to me.” When Bobulinski asked later for clarification on a question, Goldman said, “I’ll try to dumb it down.”
At one point, Bobulinski had to ask Rep. Robert Garcia to stop “wagging your finger at me.” The House Oversight Committee’s top Democrat Jamie Raskin even added to the chaos by calling Bobulinski an “out-of-control witness” and interrupting him when he tried to answer minority members’ questions.
The Democrats’ behavior was so bad that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer apologized to Bobulinski. “I apologize for the way the Democrats acted and the staff acted and the way they treated you. I’ve never seen that display of pathetic behavior in a deposition before. I apologize for their behavior, but I appreciate what you’ve said here today. It’s very helpful,” Comer said.
Raskin claimed in a statement on Wednesday that during Bobulinski’s testimony, he “did not provide any evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden, nor did he provide any evidence at all that President Biden was involved in his family’s business dealings.”
On page 12 of the 279-page transcript, however, Bobulinski makes it “crystal clear” that “Joe Biden was the brand being sold by the Biden family.”
“His family’s foreign influence-peddling operation, from China to Ukraine and elsewhere, sold out to foreign actors who were seeking to gain influence and access to Joe Biden and the United States Government,” Bobulinski said in his opening statement. “Joe Biden was more than a participant in and a beneficiary of his family’s business; he was an enabler, despite being buffered by a complex scheme to maintain plausible deniability.”
As early as 2020, Bobulinski established that the Biden family, including Joe, is “compromised” by communist China and that Joe’s denial of involvement in Hunter’s foreign business is “a blatant lie.”
Bobulinski reaffirmed in his eight-hour congressional sitdown that he believes the Bidens’ dealings with Chinese Communist Party-linked energy company CEFC, in particular, was China’s attempt “to infiltrate and compromise Joe Biden and the Obama-Biden White House.”
“This process started in the fourth quarter of 2015 and continued through when Joe Biden left office in January 2017, through March 2018, when CEFC Chairman Ye was detained for corruption in China, never to be seen again,” Bobulisnki said.
A Lucrative Family Affair
Joe Biden, with the help of the media, has long denied specific knowledge of or involvement in his son’s overseas business.
“It’s a blatant lie. You have stacks of evidence that Joe Biden showed up at meetings, shook hands, participated in phone calls, all the way back to last summer,” Bobulinski said.
Bobulinski said he “personally” met the former VP in 2017 “multiple times to discuss the broad contours of business dealings,” adding to the long list of evidence contradicting Joe’s shifting claims.
It wasn’t just Bobulinski who saw Joe Biden’s hand in foreign business deals. Other Biden family associates, such as Rob Walker and James Gilliar, corroborated his claims.
Walker confirmed in his closed-door testimony to House investigators earlier this month that Joe “stopped by” a 2017 lunch “at the Four Seasons in a restaurant in a private room” to talk with CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming and other CEFC associates. It was “likely” soon after that meeting, Walker said, that Hunter’s firm received $3 million from the CEFC entity State Energy HK Limited. Approximately $1,065,000 of that deposit was wired to various Biden bank accounts.
In 2015, Gilliar asserted in a text that Hunter was not “essential for adding input to business but was “imperative” to the “brand.” Bobulinski agreed, telling House investigators that Hunter “wasn’t providing much service of anything at that point.”
“He was providing his name and the power of his family and what they’ve developed over the prior 50 years,” Bobulinski said. Gilliar, on the other hand, “knew from day one what he was doing,” according to Bobulinski.
“He knew he was taking the — call it the second most powerful family in the United States and putting them in business with one of the top ten largest companies in China with extremely close ties to the Chinese Communist Party,” Bobulinski told House investigators.
Even Hunter allegedly bragged to Bobulinski about his dad’s influence and proximity to million-dollar overseas deals.
“I ask him questions about his interaction with his father and his father’s knowledge of this deal and other deals, and Hunter Biden was not shy about saying, ‘My father picks up the phone. I can call him from anywhere around the world. Do you want me to get him on the phone now?’ I didn’t. But he would use that terminology,” Bobulinski said.
Bobulinski claimed he pressed Hunter, remarking that “I would think your dad has an army of lawyers around him that are putting a wall between you talking about stuff.” Hunter allegedly “sort of just laughed it off.”
“He was very emboldened, confident, that, you know, he had access to his father whenever, wherever he wanted,” Bobulinski said.
Bobulinski also claimed to have raised questions about the political implications of the Biden family’s access-for-hire scheme to Joe’s brother James Biden.
“‘How are you guys doing this? It makes no sense to me. Why would you take this risk to yourself, to your family’s brand that Hunter screams about, and all that stuff?’” Bobulisnki says he asked. “And he looks at me and sort of chuckles and says, ‘Plausible deniability.’”
Bobulinski said that at the time, he did not believe the Bidens’ actions to be criminal. In his deposition, however, Bobulisnki said Joe should be investigated for potentially violating “the Foreign Agents Registration Act; anti-corruption and public integrity statutes; the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act” (RICO).
Bobulinski also expressed frustration about other Biden family associates who skirted directly admitting to Joe’s key role in the influence-peddling scheme.
“I met Joe Biden face-to-face. These guys were talking about having Joe Biden come to New York and sit face-to-face with Chairman Ye while we were formalizing this deal. And for every one of these guys to now have amnesia or, like, you know, claim that, ‘Oh, Hunter wasn’t really talking about his father’ is just absurd,” Bobulinski said. “The American people deserve the truth.”
