Donald Trump claims Jews voting for Democrats hate ‘their religion,’ ‘should be ashamed’
On Monday, US Presidential candidate Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox that the Democratic Party hates Israel.
He further claimed that “every Jewish person who votes for the Democrats hates their religion. They hate Israel and they should be ashamed of themselves.”
‘The Democratic Party hates Israel’
In an interview with Salem News, Trump was asked why the Biden administration took issue with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Responding to the question, Trump answered “I think [the Biden administration] hates Israel. The Democrat Party hates Israel.

“…If you remember when many Israeli representatives, including Netanyahu…came begging, at that time President Obama, please don’t make the Iran nuclear deal… I ended it…I would have made a new deal with Iran and it would have been good for everyone and there would have been no nuclear weapons. You know, they are very close to getting a nuclear weapon right now and once they have that it becomes a different form of negotiation – a much more difficult negotiation.”
Trump said that Iran would not be developing a nuclear weapon under his presidency. He bragged that Iran had been too broke to fund terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah while he was President, but now Iran had accumulated $221 billion.
“These people are the worst, there is something wrong with them,” Trump said of the Democrat Party. “They are the worst negotiators. They are evil people…Russia and all these other countries can do whatever they want.”
Trump also claimed that America had become “China’s puppet” and that Biden was the worst president. Trump went on to theorize that China had “something on” Biden.
Speaking of the pro-Palestinian marches across the United States, Trump claimed he was amazed by the number of people participating. Trump accused Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who publicly called for an election for new leadership in Israel, of taking his stance to gain votes.
Biden responds to Trump’s remarks
“Donald Trump, fresh off back-to-back disastrous public appearances calling to cut Social Security and Medicare on CNBC and saying there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses in November – is now attacking Jewish Americans at a time of rising antisemitism,” the Biden campaign responded in an official statement on Tuesday.
The campaign went on to list situations and reports of when Trump was critiqued for acting or speaking in an antisemitic way, including a report that emerged recently where Trump allegedly said Adolf “Hitler did some good things.”
Biden-Harris 2024 spokesperson James Singer added “The only person who should be ashamed here is Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump openly demeans Jewish Americans and reportedly thinks Adolf Hitler ‘did some good things.’ He has said the only people he wants counting his money are ‘short guys wearing yarmulkes,’ and praised neo-Nazis who chanted ‘Jews will not replace us’ as ‘very fine people.’
“Trump is going to lose again this November because Americans are sick of his hateful resentment, personal attacks, and extreme agenda.”
