Fatah movement calls for strike across West Bank
The Fatah movement in the West Bank called for a general strike in the West Bank and an escalation in the violence against Israel on Sunday in statements circulated by local branches of the movement.
Fatah called for the strike due to recent IDF operations in Tulkarm and Gaza.
“We call on all our people for unity, solidarity and mobilization in support of our proud people in Tulkarm and Gaza,” wrote the Fatah movement in its announcement.
Hamas calls for shooting attacks to target civilians, soldiers
Hamas reiterated the calls on its official Telegram channel, calling on Palestinians to attack Israelis throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem, stating that both security forces and civilians should be targeted in shooting attacks.
“As we mourn the righteous martyrs of Tulkarm who faced the occupation forces with full defiance and determination, we affirm that the Zionist crime will not bring security to the occupation and that the resistance of our people will continue, generation after generation, until victory and liberation,” said Hamas.
IDF kills ten terrorists in Tulkarm
Last week, IDF and Border Police troops carried out a 40-hour operation in the Noor-al-Shams neighborhood of Tulkarm in the West Bank. During the operation, soldiers killed ten terrorists and arrested eight suspects.
