Ahead Of Gun Trial, Joe Biden Frames Sappy Pro-Hunter Statement As Impartial No Comment
President Joe Biden hinted at his opinion of the trial of his youngest son when he released a statement on Monday lauding Hunter Biden as showing “strength” and “resilience in the face of adversity.”
Hunter is expected to stand trial starting this week for three federal felony charges he accumulated after allegedly lying on a federal form about his extensive and public drug use during a revolver purchase in 2018. Joe’s Department of Justice tried and failed to secure the president’s son a sweetheart plea deal and slap on the wrist last year, but those plans were derailed by a federal judge who smelled the Biden administration’s political favoritism at play.
The Biden patriarch, who has signaled his son’s supposed innocence for years, pretended to offer the standard “no comment” expected of presidents who choose to refrain from weighing in on undecided legal matters.
“As the President, I don’t and won’t comment on pending federal cases, but as a Dad, I have boundless love for my son, confidence in him, and respect for his strength,” he said.
Yet, Joe spent most of his statement expressing love and pride for his federally charged offspring.
“I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today,” he declared.
In addition to publicly marking his support for Hunter with what even Politico remarked was a “rare public statement,” Joe spent the days leading up to the federal trial socializing with his son.
The president even made a random visit to his daughter-in-law Hallie Biden days before she was scheduled to take the witness stand to testify against her ex-lover. The visit took place under the guise of commemorating the anniversary of Beau Biden’s death.
After First Lady Jill Biden, who was previously the subject of her stepson’s scorn, showed up at the Wilmington courthouse unannounced on Monday, there was no doubt where the Bidens stand when it comes to possible conviction of Hunter.
Despite the taboo behavior of the Bidens, particularly Joe, leading up to the trial, White House allies and apologists framed the president’s comments and actions as routine because they were shared in the context of a dad who loves his son.
“President Biden commented as a loving father, as I would hope any loving father would do,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told MSNBC.
Corporate media often claim Joe’s pride in his son is an admirable quality every father who unconditionally loves his children should possess, but they repeatedly fail to mention how the Democrat has enabled his son’s promiscuous, unseemly, and criminal behavior.
Joe funded the aspiring artist’s trysts with Russia-linked escorts. He also released a coerced statement claiming to condone the relationship between Hunter and his late brother Beau Biden’s widow.
Most importantly, when damning news about Biden family corruption broke ahead of the 2020 election, Joe lied that his son had not done business with China, despite oodles of bank records and other evidence suggesting otherwise. The president’s then-campaign adviser Antony Blinken also recruited a coalition of intelligence officials to smear the bombshell news as Russian disinformation to save Hunter’s hide and Joe’s preferred election outcome.
At the same time a whistleblower said Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys prevented their offices in California and D.C. from bringing criminal tax charges against Hunter, Joe was spotted frolicking with his son at Camp David.
Anytime scandals involving his son manifest, Joe is quick to ally himself with Hunter at whatever cost — even if it means snubbing his preschool-aged granddaughter.
Hunter’s problems may not always be the president’s problems, but even when his issues started directly affecting the national security of the United States, the Biden patriarch has worked overtime to keep him close and attending formal White House functions.
Every day that brings the start of Hunter’s trial closer make it look more and more like Joe’s warning to the jurors and prosecutors is that he won’t take another round of tarnishing of the Biden family brand.
