‘Significant’ Hamas operative Muhammad Salah eliminated in Israeli strike
A “significant” Hamas terrorist, Muhammad Salah, was struck and eliminated in an Israeli strike in the Gaza Strip, the IDF reported on Monday morning.
According to the military, Salah was an operative in Hamas’s Weapons Manufacturing Headquarters and oversaw projects and development for the terror organization.
The IDF noted that Saleh was involved in the development of “strategic weaponry” and commanded squads of Hamas terrorists working on weapons development.
The senior terrorist was reportedly eliminated by an Israel Air Force (IAF) aircraft operating on IDF intelligence.
Separately, Israeli troops continued precise, intelligence-based operations in the area of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the military added.
During their activities, troops reportedly located large quantities of weaponry. Additionally, troops disabled launchers that were used to fire at Israeli forces in the Tel al-Sultan area.
Terrorists and tunnels destroyed in Rafah area
The military went on to note that troops had also engaged and eliminated a number of armed terrorists and destroyed several tunnel shafts in the Rafah area.
In central Gaza, the IDF stated that, after identifying several terrorists before directing a drone, it subsequently eliminated the insurgents.
Meanwhile, the IAF, in addition to striking Saleh, also worked to destroy a number of targets, including squads of terrorists, terror infrastructure, and tunnel shafts in Gaza, the military added.
In the early hours of Monday morning, the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry reported that an Israeli airstrike at Al-Daraj Clinic in Gaza City killed Hani Al-Jafrawi, the director of Gaza’s Ambulance and Emergency.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that the IDF’s operations in Rafah were nearing a conclusion.
