Sergeant Omer Ginzburg was killed in battle while fighting in the Gaza Strip, the IDF announced on Monday.
Sergeant Ginzburg, 19, from Kiryat Tivon, served in the 101st Battalion in the Paratroopers Brigade.
Ginzburg fell in the southern Gaza Strip.
He was promoted posthumously from the rank of Corporal to Sergeant.
Soldiers killed since beginning of war
According to the IDF’s tally, the death of Sergeant Ginzburg raises the total of soldiers killed on or since October 7 of last year to 690.
Some 330 of this number were killed since the start of the military’s ground operations in the Strip on October 27.
