Masked man live-streams stabbing spree (GRAPHIC)

The suspect armed with a knife and an axe has injured five people in Eskisehir, Türkiye

An attacker dressed in a black helmet and armed with a knife and an axe stabbed at least 5 people in a public park’s tea garden in Eskisehir, Türkiye, Anadolu news agency reported on Monday.

The attacker attempted to flee the scene but was neutralized and detained by law enforcement officers. After paramedics were notified that the police had apprehended the suspect, they arrived at the scene and evacuated the 5 wounded to a local hospital.

Two of the injured are reportedly in life-threatening condition.

In a video circulating on social media, the suspect can be seen wearing a black helmet, goggles, a black mask with a skull motif, and a black plate carrier vest adorned with a black sun swastika symbol.

In later footage, he can be seen lying on his back with his hands behind his back as a police officer stands over him, removing the axe from his belt.

The motive for the attack has yet to be officially confirmed, but Anadolu claimed that the suspect allegedly committed the stabbings under the influence of a computer game he was playing. The agency named the attacker as Arda K., 18, who apparently streamed his attack online.
