In Musk Interview, Trump Warns Country ‘Won’t Survive’ If Kamala Harris Becomes President

Former President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Americans who are considering casting a ballot for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.

“She’s a radical left lunatic. And if she’s gonna be our president, very quickly you’re not gonna have a country anymore,” Trump told Elon Musk during the duo’s conversation on X spaces on Monday.

Musk hosted the conversation with hopes that “open-minded, independent voters who are just trying to make up their mind” would know where the Republican candidate stands heading into the 2024 election. The interview was marred by threats of censorship and technical difficulties due to a “service attack” on X’s servers, but that didn’t stop Trump from using his two hours to expose Harris’ extremism.

“She was involved in the destruction of San Francisco and the destruction of California. And she will be involved in the destruction of our country if people are so unwise as to elect her,” Trump noted.

Trump pointed to the ongoing border invasion as one of Harris’ biggest failures. While touting his border security policies and popular deportation plan, the Republican criticized the Biden administration and Harris specifically for creating a historic “catastrophe.”

“Kamala was the border czar,” Trump noted. “Now she’s denying it. Everything that I do, she’s saying she was strong on the border, we’re gonna be strong. Well, she doesn’t have to say it. She could close it up right now. They could do things right now.”

“Yeah, no, I think it is essential to have a secure border. I mean, you’re really not a country unless you have a secure border,” Musk agreed.

Trump also noted that Harris had “three and a half years” to do something about the massive influx of illegal border crossers, some violent, but did nothing but exacerbate it.

“It’s all talk,” Trump quipped. “She’s incompetent, and he’s incompetent. And frankly, I think that she’s more incompetent than he is.”

Trump identified President Joe Biden as the “worst president in history” but claimed Harris would only make things worse. He noted that the only reason the most unpopular vice president in history became the 2024 Democrat presidential nominee was because her party orchestrated “a coup.”

“He didn’t wanna leave,” Trump noted. “And they said, we can do it the nice way, or we can do it the hard way.”

“Yeah, I mean, they just took him out back behind the shed and basically shot him,” Musk interjected.

Trump noted that one of the biggest shortcomings of the Biden-Harris administration is failing to show rigor and toughness on the global stage in front of American enemies. The White House’s deliberate lack of bravado and patriotism, he warned, led and will continue to lead to crises like the never-ending Russia-Ukraine war and the botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

“We’re in a very bad position and I’m not gonna blame exclusively, but I can tell you I could have stopped that and a smart president could have stopped that,” Trump said. “It wouldn’t have happened. But we had a man that actually made it more prevalent.”

Trump noted that Harris, with the help of the corporate media, is trying to disguise her radical track record on fracking, defunding the police, Israel, and foreign policy but said “she’ll go back to all of the things that she believes in” if she is elected.

“We need people that have an ability to lead. And she doesn’t have that ability,” Trump said. “Can you imagine? Now, you know Chairman Xi very well. Can you imagine her and him negotiating, or even standing together? It is, the whole concept is ridiculous. She is terrible.”

Harris, Trump added, is “not a smart person” which is the reason he believes she has refused to answer any questions.

“It’s pretty sad when you think that somebody that does this for a living can’t answer a question or is afraid to do an interview. And in her case, with a very friendly interview, she’s got all friendly interviewers,” Trump noted.

Rescuing America

While Harris shirks even the slightest pressure to answer questions about her past and presidential run, Trump spent his evening fielding inquiries about his plans to rescue the country. Musk opened the conversation by asking about the attempt on Trump’s life, which ultimately earned the Republican an endorsement from the Tesla CEO.

Trump noted, as he has done several times since July 13, that the bullet that grazed his ear “hit me at an angle that was far less destructive than any other angle” which made him think about his faith.

“That was the miracle. That was, for those people that don’t believe in God, I think we gotta all start thinking about that,” Trump remarked. “You have to, you know, I’m a believer. Now I’m more of a believer, I think.”

Trump, unlike an overwhelming majority of Americans, does not appear to blame the U.S. Secret Service for allowing an attempt on his life through its failure to secure the premises, provide Trump ample security, and work with local law enforcement.

“They moved so fast, and let me tell you, that took tremendous courage,” Trump began. “Now, there was a lack of coordination. There was, you know, obviously, everybody understands that somebody, that building should have been covered, and that was a big thing.”

He also expressed excitement about returning to Butler, Pennsylvania, in October to finish the rally that was so rudely interrupted.

Trump hopes to Make America Great Again not only in the eyes of Butler, but also the nation and world. He lamented Democrats’ economic record and promised to rectify it by cutting government “waste,” bringing back drilling, and deregulation.

“It doesn’t matter what you make,” Trump said. “The inflation has eaten you alive.”

One way Trump plans to execute deregulation is by closing the Department of Education and moving “education back to the states.” He also hopes to build an “Iron Dome” like Israel’s that would protect Americans from foreign air attacks.

Until then, Trump plans to call out and continue to fend off Democrats’ hoaxing and lawfare.

“I always say that we have enemies on the outside and we have enemies on the inside. We have some really bad people in our government and people that are, and controlling of the people. I mean, I mentioned names, but I really don’t want to give them the credit. But we have some really bad, and I say they’re more dangerous than Russia and China,” Trump warned.

While the real criminals pouring over the border and getting kid-glove treatment from Democrat district attorneys routinely escape accountability, Trump said political targets like himself face years of scrutiny over manufactured charges.

“The only one that gets prosecuted is Donald Trump,” Trump said.

He noted that he “had a very nice life” before deciding to run for president but said that nothing he has endured over the last eight years has made him regret his decision.

“I have to go through fake trials with in some cases, corrupt judges, totally corrupt judges. I didn’t need it. I had a nice life. I have great locations. I have beautiful oceans that I have places. You know, this was, but I felt it was important. And if I had to do it over again, you probably think I’m crazy for doing it actually. But if I had to do it over again, then I would have done it over again because this is so much more important than me or my life,” Trump said.

According to Trump, “this country is going down.” Electing Harris, he and Musk both agreed, however, would only expedite the nation’s demise.

“I just ask this, are you better off now or were you better off when I was president?” Trump concluded. “Nobody’s better off now. We put out polls on that and nobody’s better off now.”

“You are the path to prosperity. And I think Kamala is the opposite,” Musk added.
