Histadrut representative: Strike to end Monday at 6 p.m.

The ongoing strike in Israel is set to conclude at 6 p.m. local time on Monday, a Histadrut representative told the labor court

The initial Histadrut position was that the strike would end Tuesday morning.

The Histadrut is holding talks with the Aviation Authority to enlarge the strike and to continue and limit the activities at the airport.

A ‘glimmer of hope’

“We are people of the law. If the court orders to stop the strike, we will do so,” a Histadrut representative told Radio 103FM. The representative further added that the announcement of the strike gave a “glimmer of hope” to the hostage families

“Yesterday, they said, ‘We finally saw a leader and an organization that understands our pain.'”

The strike on Monday followed the IDF’s Sunday announcement that it had retrieved the bodies of six hostages from Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
