Russian Alligators pound Ukrainian positions in Kursk Region – MOD (VIDEO)

Two attack helicopters have conducted strikes on Kiev’s troops and armor, according to a clip released by the Defense Ministry

Russian attack helicopters have successfully struck Ukrainian invaders in Kursk Region, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said, releasing a video.

On Tuesday, the ministry related that several of Moscow’s two-seat Ka-52M attack aircraft had carried out strikes on Ukrainian military personnel and armored vehicles in the area, adding that “there is no escape from the ‘alligators’.”

“The air support controller’s report indicated that all targets had been destroyed,” officials noted, without providing an exact count of Ukrainian forces targeted.

The clip shared by the ministry showed two helicopters flying at a low altitude and firing several volleys of small rockets, apparently in the direction of the Ukrainian forces.

The most modern attack helicopter in the Ka-52 family, the Ka-52M was only provided to the Russian Air Force in early 2023; it features improved optics and electronic systems as well as the means of tricking enemy air defense missiles.

Ukraine launched its largest-to-date incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region early last month; the attack reportedly involved some of Kiev’s best units, equipped with Western-supplied armor. While Kiev initially made some progress, Moscow said that the advance has been halted, with Russian forces actively using drones, artillery and high-precision missiles to bombard Ukrainian targets.

The Russian Defense Ministry has estimated Ukrainian losses at more than 11,800 service members and more than 800 armored vehicles since the start of the incursion.
