INVADER NEWS: Migrant Criminal Shows Everything Wrong with Dem System; Venezuelan Migrant Accused of Multiple Robberies Released Without Bail – Again –

Migrant criminal shows everything wrong with Dem system:

Brian Castillos is the poster child for everything that’s wrong with the Democrats’ handling of the border and crime.

For more than three years, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden put out a sign that said “open for the taking” to every criminal in the Western Hemisphere.

Since the border isn’t secure, and anyone can dubiously ask for “asylum” and be waved right in, Venezuelan gangs have answered the call, setting up shop nationwide. As did Castillos, 22.

According to police, Castillos got his start in New York City by shoplifting at a Macy’s in Brooklyn. He allegedly stepped up to muggings, or theft, because he later used a stolen credit card. Then he assaulted a cop.

And finally (of the crimes we know about), he stole a woman’s purse and necklace in Hell’s Kitchen.

Enter the double-barrel of the progressive “no bail” mentality and the madness of “sanctuary city” status. Many of Castillos’ crimes weren’t bail eligible, so he was just let go.

But in the latest case, handled by liberal Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office, the judge specifically asked if they wanted Castillos held, since he had another open felony case. No, they said. Too busy prosecuting ex-presidents, apparently.

Castillos should be deported. But New York, like many Democratic-run cities, has a policy not to alert ICE when an illegal immigrant gets arrested for a crime.

In short, the Democrats have built a system that does not care about the average American. —>READ MORE HERE

Venezuelan Migrant Accused of Multiple Robberies Released Without Bail – Again –

A Venezuelan migrant with two pending robbery cases was arrested again for snatching a woman’s necklace during a vicious sidewalk robbery — then quickly released by a Manhattan judge, the Post has learned.

Brian Castillos, 22, was arrested last Friday in connection with the Hell’s Kitchen robbery, which he allegedly committed with another migrant, Alexander Ayala, a repeat offender also accused of beating two police officers at a Manhattan shelter.

Authorities said Castillos and Ayala, 24, converged on the woman as she was walking on 11th Avenue near 49th Street around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 12, with Castillos riding a bicycle on the sidewalk and grabbing her necklace and purse before driving away.

The woman, who was accompanied by a young child, told officers that her purse contained two credit cards and a cellphone, according to the criminal complaint.

Castillos was charged with two counts of robbery, one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of petit larceny, none of which carry bail.

He was released at his arraignment later on Aug. 23 by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Pamela Goldsmith after prosecutors from District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office did not oppose his release, court documents show.

He already has a long criminal record, police sources said.

Just three months ago, Castillos pleaded guilty to stealing a police officer’s body camera in Manhattan on May 21, sources said. It’s unclear what sentence he received, as the case is now closed.

That same month, authorities said, Castillos burglarized two stores.

On May 10, he allegedly attempted to steal $299 worth of merchandise from a Macy’s store on Fulton Street in Brooklyn. He was charged with possession of burglary tools, armed robbery and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, all misdemeanors.

He was also arrested in June for allegedly using a stolen credit card at the NBA store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on May 13, and was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony. —>READ MORE HERE
