SCOTUS Threats Suggest Democrats’ Attacks On The Court Encourage Politically Motivated Terrorism

A 76-year-old Alaskan man is in custody after he allegedly threatened to assault, kidnap, lynch, torture, murder, and assassinate six of the nine Supreme Court justices. The names of the justices targeted, however, were withheld by the Department of Justice — likely because they confirm Democrats’ incendiary rhetoric against the conservative members of the court is working.

The DOJ announced on Thursday that Panos Anastasiou faces nine counts of making threats against a federal judge and 13 counts of making threats in interstate commerce after he sent more than 465 messages pledging harm against justices via “a public website the court maintained.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland acknowledged in the Thursday press release that the communications were rooted in Anastasiou’s desire to “retaliate against them for decisions he disagreed with.” Yet, neither he nor the Department of Justice memo announcing the arrest identified exactly which of the nine SCOTUS members and their family members were terrorized.

In fact, the DOJ went out of its way in its 11-page September 18 indictment of Anastasiou to disguise which high bench presiders were in danger for upholding their constitutional duties by reducing the justices to numbers “1-6.” Six of the nine sitting SCOTUS justices were nominated to the high bench by Republican presidents.

The document accusing the Alaskan of several felonies, however, shows Anastasiou’s threats were well timed not only with a Democrat-manufactured ethics scandal, but also decisions secured specifically by the court’s conservative majority.

In May, as corporate media ramped up Democrat-manufactured attacks on Republican-nominated justices like Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, Anastasiou promised “lynching” for the unnamed “Justice 1,” who he previously demanded “hang[]…from an Oak tree,” and swore he would end “Justice 2” and his family’s lives by “putting a bullet in his […] head.” Additionally, Anastasiou expressed hope that Justices 1 and 2 and their families would be killed by “‘fellow veterans’ who ‘spray’ their homes with bullets.”

Hours after SCOTUS ruled 6 to 3 on July 1 that presidents have “absolute immunity” for “actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority” and “at least presumptive immunity” for all “official acts,” Anastasiou threatened to “murder,” “torture,” and “execute” six of the justices with “intent to impede, intimidate, and interfere” with the court’s decision-making authority. He also once again singled out “Justices 1 and 2” with messages carrying the same violent overtones.

Days later, Anastasiou had elevated his threats to include “beheading” and death by “drowning, firearms, strangulation, and ‘lynching.’” He was also caught “encouraging others to assassinate them.”

It’s not difficult to deduce from the timing and nature of Anastasiou’s communications exactly who he sought to deter from upholding equal justice under the law, so why would the DOJ go to great lengths to conceal that information? Because the rising threat of violence against Democrats’ political enemies is an indictment of the party’s penchant for inciting that violence.

For years, high-profile Democrats such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have pledged that the conservative-controlled court would “pay the price” for ruling against their party’s partisan agenda.

“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” Schumer said, naming Trump’s first two SCOTUS appointees.

As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway wrote in 2021, “the threat was so alarming that even leftist activists such as Laurence Tribe condemned it.”

When the Supreme Court ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022, Democrats all across the nation called for the high bench’s violent destruction. Yet, Garland, the DOJ, and the FBI turned a blind eye.

Hundreds of pro-abortion activists, encouraged by the Biden White House, also descended on Republican-nominated justices’ homes after declaring an “open season” on pro-lifers and SCOTUS. Training slides from a DOJ whistleblower suggest that U.S. Marshals were explicitly warned against arresting the mob terrorizing justices, even though the protestors were in clear violation of federal law.

It was during that time that a man “upset about the leak of a recent Supreme Court draft decision” was arrested near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s Maryland residence with weapons and other tools that would help him assassinate the Trump appointee.

Yet, the buck didn’t stop there.

During his March 2024 State of the Union address, Biden publicly threatened the justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade. Mere months after that, the White House debuted a radical scheme to help Democrats fulfill their court-packing agenda.

The DOJ’s deliberate decision to keep the names of the targeted justices under wraps should come as no surprise given the bureaucracy’s treatment of SCOTUS. The same came be said about corporate media which, after gladly publishing leaked versions of the decision that kicked off some of the recent violence against the court and devoting countless articles to help Democrats discredit and delegitimize the bench, also appears uninterested in knowing exactly who might be on the receiving end of Anastasiou’s violent aims.

The New York Times reported on Thursday that “public records indicate that [Anastasiou] is not affiliated with any political party.” Federal Election Commission contribution data, however, shows the Alaskan man donated to Democrat fundraising platform ActBlue 11 times since July 2023. At least half of his donations came in during the same time period he was believed to have delivered his violent messages to the court.

The corrupt institution known for running interference for the Biden administration over the last four years appears to once again be risking its neck to protect the Democrat Party’s derrière by refusing to identify which justices were targeted by Anastasiou. Perhaps because the revelation of those names would expose the Democrat regime and propaganda press’ roles in the scheme to take down SCOTUS as well.
