Hezbollah comms. chief Mohammad Rashid Sakafi confirmed killed

After Israel’s Thursday strike on Hezbollah‘s Intelligence Headquarters in Beirut, the military confirmed on Friday the elimination of Hezbollah communications network head Mohammad Rashid Sakafi.

The Thursday IAF strike on Beirut was conducted according to intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and targeted Hezbollah sites involved in the group’s intelligence operations, the IDF reported that day.

Appointed head of Hezbollah’s communications network in 2000, Sakafi was a long-time member of the terrorist organization and was closely connected to senior Hezbollah officials, the IDF noted.

Sakafi’s role in establishing Hezbollah communications systems

According to the IDF, Sakafi worked to establish continuous communication among all Hezbollah units during both normal operations and emergencies to ensure information flowed smoothly.
